I think this will be the 11, not sure how it will look on the pitch. Not much time to work on a system change which is a worry but I think with grimes orchestrating and the players individual quality we’ll have too much for them.

Did Frank put KKH on as AM on Wednesday as a tester just in case?

Hmm, different game tactics for tomorrow. Standing in a shitty stadium, watching a Shitty pitch invasion and the possibility the game will be postponed anyway. Sheffield fans should do a protest like they did outside the ground the other week. Maybe until at least half-time.

Could be a tough gig if the weather kicks up and injuries mean a bit of a changed starting 11. Hopefully we have enough to put the game to bed. 2-0 win and top of table when Pompey take points off Boro.

But..... Middlesbrough have a very long journey to Portsmouth of about 6 hours. If they fail to win and we do win we would go top....

They'll break it up though. They might even train on the way down - quite a few clubs do that on their longer journeys.

He was playing more right midfield. Looked like a 5-4-1 to me.

Would be typical of use to lose this under previous regimes , I think they will defend deep and we will score from a set piece 1-0

What’s the longest we’ve ever been top of the Championship?

Have we ever been top of the championship?

I guess we would've been top of it for a while in 66-67!

First season after relegation I believe we were briefly top around November time under Roland Nillson.

Anyone want to do a ticket swap for this? I’m in the upper tier and the people I’m going with are in the lower tier.

Happy to swap outside the ground or something.

The sleep coach is certainly going to be earning his keep on this one.
This schedule is beyond ridiculous.

Should be a good game. Tired legs. They’re fighting down the bottom. We are bang on form.

Score prediction?

Best since we came back up from L1 after a completed round of games was 3rd a couple of times in Autumn 2021- I'm sure Goblin is right that we were briefly top until someone else played, but can't see for sure.

So being currently 2nd on same games as everyone else (except Ipswich & Blackburn who can't catch us) is definitely best since 2020/1.

I think we were top for about 15 minutes during that Friday night Peterborough home game a few years ago before someone (possibly WBA) took the lead in their game and went back above us.

Maybe put young Kai Andrews on old Bannon and stay with him everywhere he goes? Cuts out all their creativeness at source.

Whilst Bannan is a veteran decent championship player, he’s not exactly Pirlo
