Just seen their old owner Milan Mandaric has passed away today - not a good day all round for them.

The table looks like something out of FIFA or Football Manager when you’ve got cheats on. +20 goal difference after 9 games is obscene.

Have we taken a lesson from Sunderland,or will we prevail?

We've taken 2 lessons from Leeds last season. Attack Attack Attack. Then we got a very good GK. They lost soft goals because of their average GK.

That’s on track to be 168 by the end of the season.

Just looking up some of the all time team scoring records
  • Most league goals scored in a season: 134, Peterborough United (Fourth Division, 1960–61)
  • Most home league goals scored in a season: 87, Millwall (Third Division South, 1927–28)
  • Most away league goals scored in a season: 60, Arsenal (First Division, 1930–31)

Little stat for you. Our goal difference is equal to the sum of the rest of the top half’s goal difference.

Time for a dedicated super-stats thread? It'll keep us warm through the cold, dark winter months before we stand, blinking in disbelief, gazing across the sunlit uplands next May.

Just need Palace to lose today and we’re the only unbeaten team in the top 4 divisions.

Ahem! 5 leagues. South Shields and Hornchurch in National North/South respectively ruin it being 6.

Sargent would of had 4 before half time

You seen Sargent’s goals ratio compared to Wright’s?

Our man is better in both League and Cup games. Sargent has been dropped by the US team for the coming games.

The commentary fits perfectly with each one. Just need him to interview Allen or Sakamoto now and ask when they leave school.

Unsurprisingly, following a 5-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, there are four Coventry City players included in the XI - they are Haji Wright, Matt Grimes, Bobby Thomas and Brandon Thomas-Asante.

It was midfielder Thomas-Asante who received the highest score over the weekend with a 9.7 rating. The EFL article explained: “Coventry’s No.23 set the tone at Hillsborough, striking inside three minutes and adding a second on 33’ to put the Sky Blues out of sight before the break. Thomas-Asante had a game high of six shots, three on target, and two successful dribbles. This is the first time Thomas-Asante has scored a 9+ rating since signing for Coventry and is his highest rating since scoring a hat-trick for Salford City against Scunthorpe in March 2022.”
