Dominated the game but created v little and ultimately the refs decisions and poor goalkeeping have cost us in a close game

One of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen. It's like he made it up as he went along. We weren't at our best today but when or players are being kicked off the pitch what are you supposed to do. Absolute joke

Their goalie smiling and raising his eye brows, pretty much confirm it

Clearly long knew the ball went over with the role of the eyes when describing the linesman decision.

You'll have the last laugh come the end of the season, I'm very sure of that.

Not enough creativity, but the ref needs sacking.

Shit ref decisions cost us but not a great performance either. Murphy ricketts poor in particular I felt.

Oh well. Still expect us to get back on winning run this Saturday vs oldham

Ok. We didn't play the best. But I'm sorry, that's a red in the first half and the ball crossed the line. Officials come to the party once again.

They are a terrible football team. I'd be ashamed to be a fan of that team

I really hope that the club register an official complaint about the referee/officials and something is done.

Unfortunately that whole game just reminded me of how our luck usually goes. Hope it was a one off on sky, aand we now have to win the next couple of games for sure.

Can the FL/FA take action against a ref? I thought they didn't want to undermine referees?

Don't they get scored? Sure refs have been demoted in the past.

Walsall fan here. You were robbed there lads. Unfortunately the poor standard of officiating is pretty much par in this league. We've got a few decent players ourselves and they are getting absolutely no protection from refs. Tom Bradshaw is currently out following having his ankle snapped from behind three weeks ago at Shrewsbury. Not even a yellow. Romaine Sawyers is routinely the target for an early "reducer" that usually results in no more that a quick chat.

Sheff Utd are the past masters at what they did to you today where you somehow come out of a game having been much better than them, been rough-housed and given no protection but end up with as many bookings and losing the game. They are bastards. Always have been always will be.

From your point of view it is at least out of the way. From ours, the rest of the top six played this weekend and other than Burton, we have gained an extra game in exchange for no downside. If we win on Tuesday, our game at your place will be postponed as we'll be re-aquainting ourselves with Mr Smith in the cup.

I thought that they demoted them if they screwed up badly.
