Genius, we miss him so much when he isn’t there. I cringe when the crowd get on his back

He was pure class and is a great talent, said it elsewhere, but he’s got more potential than Hamer.

I hope that those who are usually critical of his play, have the decency to write something good about him tonight...seems only fair

Still only young but very definitely Needs to be more consistent .

Needs to be quicker on the ball and almost less composed-meaning getting caught in possession .

Good player when he plays well but like others have said gives the ball away far too many times.

That said-we have a player.

It’s amazing how some players are given so much slack, yet others are expected to perform at PL levels for us.

Gave it away one less time than usual, progress.....

Stepped up 2nd half, good sign of his character!

Alot of the time fans say he was brilliant when he wasn't , he genuinley was today and I would appreciate it very much if he could hold that level for another 29 matches

He really has to play all game's there's gas in the tank and barring injury .
Yes has that one dwelling moment per game but it should go.
He's the investment we've made and should build around that, not dally switching week in week out.

I remember Hamer giving the ball away more than Sheaf but I have no agenda against either

Apart from one heart stopping moment Platty - very well! I've never been a harsh critic - just try to see both sides.

For example, Kelly has been written off by some recently for his passing but that pass for the winner was sublime.

Similarly some have said that Godden doesn't have enough pace for the Champ but what's pretty clear is that he has very good football intelligence and is very very clinical.

I think everyone should be happy - for the first time in years we have good options and competition across the pitch.

Got to say I was really disappointed by the Swansea game and was very worried about our form going sharply downhill - I see today's game as a real confidence boost after going down to 10 men. Hope we can now get back to the form we showed 3-4 weeks ago. What's really encouraging overall is that even though our performance has dipped over the past few weeks but we've still found a way to win 2 out of the last 3.

Onwards and upwards - what a fantastic atmosphere today as well.

Not this certain player. Danny has said he’s too slow to play “CDM” and has liked a negative post

Don't think so as I mostly have an agenda defending players who are getting constantly criticised.

If someone offers a balanced view then I'm all for it.

What I would say is that I wasn't convinced by Sheaf last season but he's stepping up a lot this time around - might have been a fitness/injury issue last season which prevented him from showing his true form?

Let's see him maintain this level consistently, for me he's a starter and Today was worthy of the praise .. I really hope he can keep the level where it was today .. I like that level

Those that constantly slate Sheaf have no idea what makes a good central midfielder. He has the odd moment of madness but once he eradicates that from his game he’ll go on to have a career in the premier league potentially.

He was today

I'd say that was his best overall 90 for City.

But that’s shows his improvement and invalidates the argument that he’s a senior player and can’t be expected to be faultless.

I said to my dad at QPR , watch sheaf today dad he's had a solid start to the season , looks better than last year .... he was pretty poor ..and since that match has been wildly inconsistent with some massively undeserved praise on here .
Equally there has been some undeserved criticism .

I believe sheaf is a confidence player , if he starts a game poorly he won't recover , he looked fantastic today but could've put us in the shit 4 times in his last match .

The middle ground is (the realistic opinion ) Bags of potential , can have it all but must eradicate the silly passes which put the team in the shit , and stop trying to be cute in the wrong areas

Talented lad

Great 90 today

All players make mistakes, no one has the perfect game every week, but some people seem to need a fall guy and unfortunately it’s Ben for the boo boys.

This sounds like a teacher telling off a naughty child.

Really do you check who likes who's posts? Does it go into the spreadsheet?
