It will only ruin them if the council have done anything wrong. Who's to blame?

They also filed to the EU before dropping the legals.

Can you at least get your head around the basics before trying to preach your shite?

Even if the Council have done wrong it may not follow that WASPS will be penalised
However, if it can shown WASPS were complicit in the wrong doing .......................

There’s surely enough information in the public domain to prove that members of the council have acted unethically and not in the public interest. How are any of these people still in a job?

Probably explains why they act so desperate. They know they’re at risk of losing their pensions.

Because it goes to a council ethics committee and if they are found to be in the wrong they just change the rules so that it isn't in the wrong any more.

You’d think there would be grounds to review it at a higher party of government level rather than by the little local clique.

It's basically the same thing as when FIFA investigated itself for corruption a few years ago. There was never any danger of them finding against themselves, even if they actually were.

but is everything in the open? Kept hearing on issues around this that CCC were claiming certain meetings behind closed doors were confidential hence turning down several FOI requests.

We know that's the case. Take the meeting where they voted to sell to Wasps, no minutes, notes or record of any sort apparently exists. That sets huge alarm bells ringing for me.

Even if it wasn't regarding a situation that was deep in legal challenges I'd have thought you'd want every aspect of a meeting like that documented in case anything was queried at a later date.

I do wonder if a decent national investigative reporter will ever dig into this whole debacle properly. Seems like there’s a good story.

but is this evidence that the inquiry has access to or is it being denied under these so-called confidentiality clauses?
Meeting you refer to there was those pictures of scraps of paper/meeting agendas with handwritten notes on floating around the internet afterwards .

The FSA must be getting their information from the Trust.

With all of the discussion about Wasps and their part in this mess there is no mention of what we as a fan base can do to put pressure on them. Twenty one of us turned up at their last fixture of the season. Surely now, with weeks to plan and prepare, something should be organised for their first fixture of next season. A protest involving several hundred or more City fans will raise awareness of Wasps part in our being forced to play in Birmingham with local and even national press covering the event. Wasps, like Sisu, don’t want negative publicity. It may also waken up the wider population of Coventry to the fact that our football club, their football club have been forced out of the Ricoh by a sporting organisation from London. This situation needs to be highlighted and brought out into the open. With a date set weeks in advance,we should be able to make a real impact this time whether inside or outside the stadium. I think a disrupted Wasps game would certainly make the headlines.

They should just publicly release an offer , rather than releasing this bullshit.

"You can play here for terms already agreed, not indemnity etc"

Then we would see who's lying.

Exactly. Surely the confidentiality clauses are now null and void. Cite the contentious terms publicly and let the people who really matter - the fans - be the judge of who is being unreasonable, given that there is no way back (assuming that the only stopping point was the outcome of the EU hearing). Fucking sick of the tit for tat point scoring in the press. Embarrassing and tiresome as always. Was bad enough when it was SISU, ACL, the Charity and the Council. Throwing Wasps into the mix just makes it ten times worse.

probably more the possible knock-on effect to their bond issue the problem.

But surely the value of the asset that the bonds are secured on has doubled?

Rugby Premiership season doesnt start till 18th October because of the world cup in Japan. The 21 of us have time.

CCFC away at MK Dons that weekend

its interesting about rugby not starting till late i imagine between now and christmas they will have 4/5 games and no revenue from ccfc surely not very good for their cash flow situation

True but it is only a timing difference not cash flow that will not happen (in large part)

A perfect statement would be to boycott MK away and take 10k to stand outside the Ricoh and cause a nuisance, particularly if we managed to have more outside than inside. Unfortunately plenty of our fans still can't work out the irony of attending MK while avoiding St Andrews.

I'll be at both - need a day when they're playing and we're not to get the best numbers and ideally a dry day too if you can fix the weather.

OK playing devils advocate a little, but we all know words are carefully arranged in amongst this PR. Could it be that this irrevocable undertaking given by SISU was actually subject to a deal for CCFC to be at the stadium being completed. It would be unlike SISU to give up something without some reward or get out (that is not saying they would be unreasonable in doing so either). So is the irrevocable guarantee still in place or did it die when no deal was done? Are we taking things at face value when in actual fact things are a little more grey.? I would think it prudent to have worded it as given "subject to" personally otherwise they give up on legal rights for no gain in return

The rest of the stuff this week starting with the JS interview, through to and including statements by Wasps CCC Hoffman etc just leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. Just when you think things can not get any messier .............. they do :banghead::banghead::banghead: You can not believe any of them. None of them come out of it with any real credibility, all of them openly mislead and play on words

I’d be shocked if this wasn’t the case.

no not all. I think it is a fair stance and one i would advise in their situation. I just dont think fans should refer to it as still in place when i seriously doubt it is
