Still don't see why we couldn't do it like Netflix subscription but send the tickets out each month, obviously it's a bit more hassle, but subscriptions tend to be less likely to be cancelled than STs not renewed.

the problem is, i suppose they would have to have someone (or even a team) constantly checking direct debits to check who's paid, who's cancelled, etc. then print off tickets for every ST for that month, plus those buying matchday tickets, etc, physically stuffing them into envelope's every month. Thats a big job. it also doesnt lock people in for the season, as if we go on a losing streak just cancel your DD. The smart ticket works well as its minimal work, you can book cup tickets online and your ST card updates your card automatically.

It is a good idea though.
