It may not be many, but I would have thought there will be a handful of curious locals who turn up out of curiosity - especially if Blues are not playing on the same day.

I said on a previous thread, my friend lives in Moseley and supports Reading. He contacted me about a few days out

They seem generally positive on the idea that we are there - I received little abuse on my thread about their ground

Going to buy another one later just so there's space for Tim in case I see him walking past and ask him to sit with me.

I think we will do okay in regards Season Ticket sales. circa 6.8 last year, so I think anything over 4k be a reasonable effort.
I will pick and choose my games tbh. No protest, just up in Lincoln so committing to one is not a viable option.

After all and considering the state we are in, I am quite positive about next season.

Just bought mine, Block 30. I'll mainly be going by train and walking from New Street, will have a drink at the Shakespeare after the game. Just hope the majority of games are on a Saturday as l feel Sunday games tend to kill the match day as a whole experience.

I think 4k would be amazing but can see it being about 2k with match packages on top.

Feel like we could do the Rotterdam or anywhere song with just our 'homegrounds'.
We've been to Northampton and Birmingham, but Coventry's our home...

4k? Surely not. I thought I was being wildly optimistic with 3k. Anybody fancy doing some dots?

It’s great to see how many people on this forum are buying season tickets to support MR and the team, or are stating their intention to attend as many home games as possible. I wish this was replicated across all social media, but this doesn’t seem to be the case, unfortunately. I live near Newcastle upon Tyne, so a season ticket doesn’t work for me, but I do intent to go to a lot more home games this season, as well as the away games I usually attend. We must do what we can to encourage people to turn up and support the team, while of course, respecting those fans who can’t make the journey.

I fail, however, to understand how proposing and supporting a boycott for some reason of ‘principal’ will help in any way, it will only hurt the club and the team. PUSB!

You have to look at the people saying that. The Facebook forum for instance is full of people shouting boycott but if you go on there on a match day it's full of people looking for a free ifollow stream. They didn't attend anyway.

Of course I'm not saying everybody is going along happily to Brum, a lot will not go, reduce their attendance or lose interest but a lot are just shouting their mouth off while not changing their support pattern.

Exactly, the ones shouting won't have bothered. The ones who did just won't go and you probably won't hear anything from the majority of them.

I was told away days only from somebody who's last game was the play off final. They had obviously seen somebody else say it.

There was a guy who went in yesterday to ask for an away season ticket the first question should have been have you got your home one

Did wonder how people who say they are going away only are going to get tickets given some of the small allocations in this division and priority booking for season ticket holders.

542, not including premium seats and corporate. They'll be a trickle of sales over the next couple of weeks I suspect, with a couple of spikes, one around the end of the month for payday and another at the early bird deadline. I've got two but will have to wait till payday to get another 2. At a guess I'd say we're heading for 2-2.5K season tickets.

I could be really wrong, but I have a *feeling* that there will be a bigger uptake than we initially thought. Most of the people I know were reluctant to start with but momentum has grown and those who initially said no have been swayed by the increase in interest. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone as some either a) can't go or b) generally feel a moral obligation to not go, but I think a lot of people said it because they thought their mates would feel the same. As soon as they have heard a few of their mates are still going, they have changed their opinion. Long way to go but we will see.

I'm very tempted to take my allocation to games I'm not going to, flog them over priced on the Facebook forum and donate my profit to the club.

I understand the thought process behind this and it has crossed my mind as well to spite those who have been unnecessarily vocal against going. However, being rational and knowing that those few don't represent the average City fan it's creating further division. A few years ago I was someone who would attend as many home/away games as I could get to (whether it be financial, was saving for a wedding, or other commitments at the weekend), so couldn't get a ST, and there will be many who go to St Andrews without a ST who shouldn't be punished as such for not being able to get a ST. I don't think it's fair to punish younger me, or many others, for not being able to make that commitment.

That is more along my current thoughts, but the more the merrier. It is worth doing financially even if you miss a few games, plus you get preferential treatment for away games.

I'm waiting for the fixtures to come out first. I missed quite a few game last year at the Ricoh and the season ticket was still good value. If I will have to miss many more than I will probably get the match package when they come out.

Do match package holders still have priority for away matches?

If it's the same as last season it goes ST holders first priority, then match package/members, then general sale.

Can't commit to a season ticket myself (wouldn't be able to at the Ricoh either) but will be going as much as I can. Went to about 10 home games last season.

Think a couple of top signings in next week or so could show the clubs ambition and could persuade those wavering to buy one or a match package.

The team and Robins deserve our support!

What's the deal with the monthly DD payments? Is there a fee up front or can you set up first payment for end of this month?

Wouldn't be able to commit to every game, but I will try to get up to Brum as and when time allows. Although, 20 more miles is insignificant after 150 from Bournemouth.
