I went on-line last night at 23.30pm and bought 3 season tickets without any problems at all.
No issues with it.

Does anybody know how many season tickets have been sold up to now?

I'm not expecting a great number as we've not made any signings and most would have been bought with blind faith and optimism of things to come I reckon. (Or a cruel addiction!)

this was when the shop closed yesterday so I suspect there might have been a few more online before midnight (as our cruel addicted friend has alluded to already!)

Even with the "right" owners not many clubs can do what Bradford do, you need two things, a large stadium but also you need the latent support, most clubs in L1 lack both of those things, just about all lack one.

We've sold 18000 so far, Coventry could do the same. Good luck for next season.

Good luck to you too. I reckon we need it!

Bantam - how long have season ticket sales been that type of percentage? (in terms of percentage of stadium capacity)

I'm guessing this season only (and maybe the ones when they were in the PL and maybe the first back down in the championship). Only a guess mind you - great effort, regardless !

Aye. Super effort. Figures must be similar to Norwich when they were in the doldrums. Didn't we hire someone who managed ticketing for them?

Sky Blue Harry was correct, very similar sales to the PL days. It started when we dropped into L2 8/9 years ago, we'd been getting 7500 (ish) crowds in L1 as we were long term shit and sliding into the basement, I think the prices were about £138 for an adult, nowt for under 11's (with a full paying adult) & £99 concessions. We were promised back to back promotions via Stuart McCall's return and about 14k bought into that dream.

In fact, we got shitter, if that was possible, but even after 7 years in L2 we were still selling 10k+ ST's. Last year they were £199 and we averaged 13k+ crowds, many fans have been screaming for them to be increased in cost but the board surprised everybody by reducing them to £149 for this season, this resulted in what is pretty much a sell out, there is space for away fans and some walk up's.

Financially it's growing the club, what if Bradford went up? They could increase the price by a very large % and not many, if any, would not renew. 18k (minimum) fans will eat and drink a lot of stuff and buy a lot of merchandise and it's far easier to sell commercial deals with a full (ish) stadium. So what if the reduced prices produce the same income as other clubs 8k "normal" prices? It's bringing affordable football to the masses and the masses are responding. For any fans, a "big" game is an enjoyable event and next season every home game will be a big game for us.

I've looked at the L1 clubs, there is only us and Coventry that can do this successfully, the Blunts don't need to.

Great reply. It's a very interesting strategy, one I am surprised more teams do not adopt. Especially since the gulf between PL and Championship/L1 is ever widening. Even more so when places like Coventry are brimming with plastic Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool fans who don't go to games. They could tap in to that 'affordable football' that you mention.

SISU have gone.some.way to trying to do that this year I guess. However, rightly or wrongly, certain fans will be sceptical and think that SISU have ulterior motives and won't buy into it. Until there is trust and better relations I will look at you with a sense of envy. Good luck though! Great fans deserve something to cheer!

I bought 2, so that's well on the way . Seriously, though I wouldn't be surprised if they had shifted more than that, as really good value and suits a lot like me who can't commit to every game (family stuff etc)

Beats me how they think that they are going to sell ST's without some evidence of intent ie. positive signings.

You don't regard the 3 signings last week as 'positive'?

Well that's down to Mowbray though isn't it, He's already said he could have signed 4 or 5 players weeks ago prior to early bird but he was waiting it out. Now he has 3 signings who he wanted and 4 if you count Reda extension and more will follow.

Mowbrays is no idiot, he isn't going to sign just any crap to appease some morons.

"Here are details on how you can collect your Season Tickets for the upcoming 2015/16 season...

Coventry City have confirmed details for fans to collect their Season Tickets for the 2015/16 campaign.

Sky Blues fans who have chosen to collect their Season Tickets will be able to do so from the Citibase building on Lockhurst Lane in Coventry (Postcode: CV6 5SF) where the club offices are now located.

Starting from Tuesday 14th July, collections will be available between 10am and 2pm in the Main Reception of the Citibase building. Collections will take place Monday to Friday only, with no collections available on weekends.

Fans will need to bring with them a confirmation of purchase of their Season Ticket, and will only be able to collect Season Tickets which they have a proof of purchase for. For example, if fans want to collect another person’s Season Ticket then they will need to present their proof of purchase.

Free visitor parking is available at Citibase at the front of the building. If you are struggling to find the Citibase building, it is the old Courtaulds offices and opposite the Subway restaurant on Lockhurst Lane.

If fans have any queries, they can contact the Ticket Office on 024 7699 2326 (Monday-Friday, 9:30am to 5pm) or by e-mailing TicketOffice@ccfc.co.uk "

This club never ceases to amaze me, we purchased season tickets weeks ago, thought we would pick them up and look at the new club shop when it opened, which we said to the lady at the time of us buying which others were doing last week when buying.

Now, I find that unless I am some kind of shift worker/part time employee/student or unemployed I can have a limited window of 4 hours a day to pick them up, not that handy working in Birmingham and London really.

Is it that much of an imposition that I cannot pick up from the club shop........why on earth not, it may encourage peeople to actually spend some more money whilst they are picking the ticket up on some merchandise.
Another commercial failure but hey, parking is free if I can take a days leave.....not anti SISU but I am anti any company that does not maximise its chance to make the most of its product and increase revenues (they should charge me for parking I hear you say)

Still run by amateurs.

You can arrange a specific time to collect outside those hours (although no later than 5pm still by the looks of it) or have them sent out for you, 10-2 is the time they guarantee someone will be there if you just drop in.

Of course, so we can moan about rushing to sign players.

If we won our first 12 games some people would find a reason to moan. Probably the queue at half time or summat.

Session ticket sales currently at 4750.

"The Sky Blues are now 1000 Season Tickets away from reaching the target of 5750 and Mowbray has encouraged City fans to back the side."

So we're saying that if we kept the tickets at last years prices we would have sold the same amount ??
So we're a lot worse off ...

I guess you could look at It another way.
Previously the the Club sold ST's through direct debit and would have lost a percentage of that to the third party Involved.

Didn't they just lower the price to get people to buy sooner rather than put it up?
