Quite a few mates have purchased again this year, the price has been an attractive factor for them.

Was anyone else asked what had made them renew or buy, I was asked was it the TM factor, the cheaper price or would I have renewed anyway, she was jotting down the results on paper ! it was certainly the only time I've ever been asked so it would appear they are taking note, Incidently I was also made to feel like a customer which felt strange, positive PR whatever next

They are doing a roaring trade on the shirts.
Looks better in real life than in photos.

Fans have a right to be disconnected, disinterested or even disregarding of the clubs rhetoric,, it is up to the club to show those who have chosen to wait to see how all the cards fall before commiting saturday's and hard earned cash to the club.. Most who will have reservations now will be those who have bought ST and are wondering to what is going on, those who have stayed away don't have to worry, moan or judge until they see a time when going back, could be an option..

To redicule those who have had enough or don't believe in the club, is in my opinion, unfair.. TM knows without the product on the field most will stay away, he is in a very tough spot but will either rise or sink with those before him.... Fans are the club and always will be, Sisu have to now shown those that still have an eye on things that they understand the value and are intent on doing something to get them back. But fans are still asking the value of a ST for what they get in return. They also rightly think that its the clubs job to get them back, not the job of those who have comitted time and money in the past to bail out a failing program with multiple years of being let down..

Lets be fair a club without fans does not stand a chance, but a club that has negleted its duty deserves negitive thoughts and actions until proved we are on a different road. Without hope a fan has nothing, just memories of good days past. So SW , TF and JS need and have now shown an understanding of our value, they also understand without us they have very little chance of sucess on the field. Its up to them, invest, compete, win games, win fans back, create more investment and build belief and confidence in the club so selling can be a real option.. They want out but just know selling at its lowest point is not a option for those silent backers who want a return..

When people are buying season tickets in the shop what is it that's taking so long? Surely you just pick where you want to sit, give them your details if you're not already on the system and then pay. There's not any finance option to deal with so what takes them so long?

I honestly don't understand why people just don't do it online. Took me 5 minutes.

I went and got mine. Wasn't that bad took 15 minutes. Even had an e mail back thanking me for my continued support. Good CRM for once.

Getting there then. I do think if we can bring in a couple of decent players soon, they'll get another 2-3K imo and hopefully bring it up to 8,000 overall.

I hope so anyway.

That's the problem. Realistically at this level some like Ricketts would be a big singing yet all know him signing would have zero impact on season ticket sales. Not sure who people think we are going to sign really.

Doesn't have to be any one expensive or the like.

Just a player we know will get the fans off their seats in excitement. A quick, skillfull winger. And decent striker for league 1.

Just someone, because at the minute we are resigning last seasons players. Hardly going to drive up ST sales, wouldn't you agree?

Exactly. There is not one single player who we sign that will result in people going out and buying a season ticket.

The only one possibly is Samuel, but still I think most people will shrug or say 'Dominic who?'

But like Dave and Otis say, we're likely to sign players that most people have never heard of or players like Ricketts that will have no effect on ST sales. Let's say we sign some winger from bury (e.g. Danny Mayor L2 team of the year), realistically how many ST's is that going to sell?

Like I said, not having a pop at you as I've seen it posted a number of times.

And also, IF they were as calculated as some make out, they'll leave the 'big' name signing until after the early bird expires.

You joke about it, but I thought earlier because of the huge door and the stock so close to it then surely it is prime for people to walk up and grab stuff

I do understand exactly what you are saying.

However, we haven't really signed anyone new. Just extended a couple of contracts to players that might be better this time around than last season or youth players.

All I'm saying is, a few signings showing our intentions this season, I believe we will see another 1-2,000 renew straight away. There are many waiting to see if this "new dawn" happens. I.e Mowbray gets the backing he's asked for.

I may be wrong, you (or others) may be wrong or right. We'll just have to see how the squad is built over the coming weeks.

Any sensible person will realise we won't be signing Harry Kane or someone like that. Or as Nick strangely keeps mentioning, Messi. But I do believe a few good signings, especially one of each in striker, midfielder, defense and GK, will boost the ST sales.

Got mine and my lads today. Very excited. But worried by some of tm comments but trust him to get the most out of any players he brings in

Once Sunday has been and gone that will be the number of season tickets sold looks like 4500/5000 under the circumstances and based on last season's desperate performance that ain't too bad, unless we sign a real marquee name and I can't think who I don't think many more fans will buy STs, if we can hit the ground running start winning at home 10000 home fans will be about it

I agree Rupert but I think another 500-1000 will buy this weekend, hoping they get to 5k which considering the last 2 years will be good

I think there are a lot of people who would buy a ST but don't because they know they won't be able to get to enough games to make it worth while. Myself included, which is why I've gone for a 12 match package...I can always get to the odd extra game if I find I'm not working. It would be interesting to know how many packages have been sold.

I'm getting one of those...
If the football then remains as dismal as last year I won't get any more and I will feel less ripped of.
It is not the money as ST are cheap but got to the stage where we need exciting/better football not the dross we have been served in the last couple of years.

The match packages have gone down a storm I know 5 people who have opted for 12 games & on average between them only went to 7/8 games last season.
