Too much hubris about City's prospects, I really hope the bubble doesn't burst. We're no more than a mid table Championship club kicking above it's weight because it is currently well managed.

The work ethic Lampard has put in place must continue and the structural changes DK has put in place depend on continued excellence in recruitment choices.

I’m sorry but we’re not kicking above our weight. We spent 34 year’s consecutively in the top flight. How many teams in the top two divisions can say that?

Don’t let a bad period (20 years) of mismanagement cloud your judgement. We are a much bigger club/fanbase than people give us credit for. We are very quickly recovering the lost generations but the potential has always been there.

100% agree and I don't think we've seen the true size either....my 3 teenage lads have been brought up on the rise of our club over the last 8 years....less than half of their school mates were Cov fans
My younger 2 (5 & 8) at primary school and I now see it at around 80% plus being kitted out in kids and especially more girls.....the school fayre last week was unreal to see.
Give it another 8 years and they'll be wanting to go up the City with friends like all youngsters do when 13/14 plus.
Doug steers the club sensibly and more will come and we will need to expand the stadium..... Ican't actually believe I'm saying that but the foundation of younger supporters is very evident and also just not in Coventry either.
What's our supporting capability i don't know, but I'd say 40-42kk stadium needed in near future.

We averaged 21.5K in first season iirc, so not that far away, but I get the point.

Be interested to know what the break even is now. One of the problems for Doug is that because SISU didn't give a shit our prices didn't seem to go up in line with everyone else's. So now he needs to balance catching up without having a massive increase at any point.

There will be no viable break even point, if we sold out every week we'd still make a hefty loss.

Basically in 2005 we needed to average 23k just to cover playing a game. I remember them at the time saying for the club overall to break even they would need to average 35k a game

That can't be the case. The rent was around £45K per game and matchday costs a lot less than that. Matchday pricing in 2005/6 was £23. We didn't need 23K to cover matchday costs.

Not everyone will have been paying £23 a ticket. Kids tickets were only £11.

In the waiting list page, the club says General Sale will start when the club announce it i.e. if there's any left of the 24k limit after the waiting list has had a run at it.

Club announced just over 22k sold before opening to the waiting list
There was approx 930 on the waiting list (it was numbered on the ticketing website)
I'd expect the club with then say to anyone on the waiting list "you have 24hrs left to buy"

As Robinshio says this could snowball once we get to less than 1,000 left for general sale. Which I guess is exactly the point of putting a cap in place.
