there were only 3000 back in league 2 days
I remember back in the championship last time when they offered a discount if we sold 10000 season tickets, and I think we got to around 8000
mental to think back to be being sat there with rows to yourself

the days of cheap parking and being able to rock up about 60 seconds before kick off and still be in your seat in time!

We hit the 20k mark on 12th June last season but STs had been on sale I think around 13th May.

This season they went live on 29th May and we've hit 20k in less than 3 weeks - with nearly 1k on the waiting list.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't hit the cap by the time EB deadline hits.

20K last year was the point they said we'd set a new record wasn't it? Can anyone remember what we ended up on?

I don’t think they’ve ever said what the final number was.

Just before they went off sale, they posted to say it was over 21,500.

I imagine if they reached 2k they would have posted it on twitter so somewhere between 21.5 and 22k.

So if we're at 20K now, plus no doubt the people who leave it to the last minute possible to add a few on, then the waiting list, then the people waiting for general sale but not prepared to pay to join the waiting list we're possibly going to be looking at breaking the record within a day or two of general sale.

Who the fuck would have predicted a few years ago we'd be looking at potential issues of tickets being a closed shop and having waiting lists.

It’s a club to be very proud of once again.

I remember when the ref waited until everyone was in the ground before Kick Off …

Even better with early jpt games, think I near enough had a block to myself to sit in with only one stand open 🤣

Be nice if we could sell all the seats that the TV cameras see this season. The brainless comments people make about our fan base based on what they see in that stand is ridiculous.

We wandered down and sat in the first row behind the bench in the seats used for coaches/subs when we played Arsenal U21s. Nobody was bothered.

given ST prices have gone up by around 8% - 8% on a £37 ticket would take it to around £40 for the top group of fixtures and maybe £30 for the lower categories if we get 24k STH and 3k for away only leaves 3-4k for general sale after corporate/hospitality packages

I agree, in 1967 when I was 7 the older fans around me spent all match abusing our players and teaching me new words. 😉
The current match day experience is much more civilised in comparison.
Year younger than you Colin, I was only 6 then, but agree completely, I used to look up at my dad and ask what everyone was shouting, him being a big Scotsman was joining in with most of them
