This may be controversial but King isn't an idiot.
He will have the data for the last season at the new prices, if his priority was 100% occupancy of corporate the prices would be lower. Clearly there is a push to make it more premium, and to be brutal, to keep out some of the people who were in corporate when it was cheap.
Although if he ended up with 2 people in the lounge every week that's clearly a fuck up but maybe that's aimed more at day trippers.
plus he needs to keep some space clear for potential investors and VIPs
I wasnt aware that the boardroom had pitch viewsHe has a boardroom for that.
Maybe its a longer term thing. Could well be that the feedback from the higher end clients was they were put off by a load of coked up idiots being in corporate. Maybe there's a 3-5 year plan to increase occupancy at the higher prices. Maybe he wants some available for sale for individual games. What owner wouldn't place 100% occupancy, or as near to, as a priority on one of their most exclusive packages?
You fill all of them (excluding those which are for the likes of Monzo and CBS etc) you're probably within the region of £1m in revenue added to the club's bottom line.

I think ultimately if it was full at a lower price and not full at a higher price the fact that the price hasn't gone down this year indicates he doesn't think its an issue.

Sorry where are the figures? Is it fact that the club's corporate packages haven't exactly been well received since DK arrived - Balcony bar roughly half full, only half of boxes are filled by permanent box holders and Mahou Lounge entirely empty with exception to two unfortunates.
I'm going to go with yes for that one Pete.
Sorry where are the figures?
Do you have them?
Prices and numbers etc etc
To make the same mistake two seasons on the trot is not good and id like to challenge it with facts and figures
Because we're a Championship club. Get to the promised land and the waiting list for corporate will be massive as it was at HR.Why do we have only half of the corporate boxes and balcony bar full, at best, all the time then?
Tweet went out this week... later this month.Anybody received their season ticket card yet??

"Balcony bar roughly half full" so how come when you get there late you struggle to get a seat to eat your food.
Look at the dot count genius.
It just means there's more seats on the balcony then they can fit in the Premier Lounge.
If that was the case they'd just block additional seats out as unavailable wouldn't they....?
I have a question for you, have you ever been in the Premier Lounge on a match day.

Yes we've been relocated there on occasion when the boxes are pre-booked by the hotel.
OK, those dots, seats that are empty at the moment, come match day they wil be filled with walk up.
They weren't against Leeds last season which was wasn't far from a sellout if memory serves.
Needs a question thoughWe simply have an oversupply of corporate seats, far more than any other club in the league, yet we price it at the same level, and higher, than others. Supply and demand. Price it to fill it if that's the aim, or price it high and accept you often won't. There"s no real mystery here.
Should have the FZ up there, soft play areas out the way of the piss pots and coke heads. The first game of the season around 1995 was 9,000. The idea that it was always full is just pure fantasy.Never have understood the romanticism and fantasised numbers for HR.
There were many top flight games where we struggled to get 10,000 fans. The first game of the season around 1995 was 9,000. The idea that it was always full is just pure fantasy.
Yeah I miss the place but at the time there wasn’t anyone complaining about the move. The current match day experience is miles better; they really need to get the train situation sorted though! There were many top flight games where we struggled to get 10,000 fans.
Now we have a regular full stadium, even when every game is streamed live!
(If you know how to use a VPN)
Hopefully MR managed to attracted a new younger generation of fans that will continue to back the club for years to come, and Lampard will continue that legacy with Doug's financial support.People talking about revisionism about Highfield Rd. A lot of revisionism going on about the Ricoh/CBS.
It's been open 20 years and has been shite for all but 4 seasons, let's hope it continues as it is now
