Last time I looked about 2 days ago, there were only 2 seats taken in the Mahou section
I wonder what their plan is with that. Either they're looking to majorly adjust price or closed the Mahou Bar, given a refund to those two which purchased tickets and recommended they relocate into the Balcony Bar.
I cant understand why the Mahou Lounge has been such a cock up
Is it price? Is the food shit? Is the experience shit?
Has to be something because its never been successful since it was made
What's the price of a box these days? Would imagine if you have a group that a box may offer similar or better value. The value isn't there across a full season really.
£3500 inc VAT per person is around £150 per game.
Which isn't necessarily not too bad on a Saturday for a one off or a couple of occasions across a season but paying that every single home game isn't worth it.
Also it's the night matches where you lose a lot of the value as inevitably people will be getting there later due to work and will be driving so can't take advantage of the free drinks.
The price needs dropping by probably at least £700-£800 - probably more like a grand.

Reason they don't want more free drinks...to stop the idiots going in thereNew prices are £27.5k. Around £2.3k per person.
Package is a bit subpar.
Main meal, dessert and welcome drinks and two (used to be three) parking spots.
Personally I think the boxes need gutting and redesigning and there should be more drinks on offer at request in order to justify the current price but that's not going to happen.

My mate went in for the Boro game and said it was actually really good value for money as all drinks are thrown in - Obviously to make the most of it you are gonna have to drink a lot to justify the priceI cant understand why the Mahou Lounge has been such a cock up

if that’s the case they have to upgrade the experience , or where’s the valueReason they don't want more free drinks...to stop the idiots going in there
I had a season ticket for two years when it was a private box , they took it away without offering it as a box for any price., to convert it to the Mahou lounge , it hasn’t worked and they lost revenue on it , think the corporate side of things has been the only sub par mark on things, a lot of empty boxes for first seasons of Doug’s tenure but hopefully that’s turning round too with steady top end of the table finishes
Give me some ideaThe corporate side of things in my view is actually worse under the current regime than it was under Boddy and SISU.
The packages are ill thought out and the pricing relative to the GDP of Coventry remains well off the mark.
Give me some idea
It needs to be an affordable premium package , thats it reallyGive me some idea
If it was proper value for the money we'd sell moreIt needs to be an affordable premium package , thats it really
Club cov, the mill & legends lounge are priced correctly IMO. I have a couple of mates who have been trying to get tickets near me in the club cov lounge for a couple of years now but bar a the odd single it has been sold out. I think the balcony street bar as a concept is good idea, but the price and execution for a season ticket is flawed. Agree with you on the Mahou lounge & the VP membership thoughThe corporate side of things in my view is actually worse under the current regime than it was under Boddy and SISU.

It’s definitely not. Still room for improvement but it’s miles better now than it was under SISU.The corporate side of things in my view is actually worse under the current regime than it was under Boddy and SISU.

as a start Pete have remove the all inclusive drinks option as you have , but maybe same food + 1 drink option at say £30 a game lower - with the option for £30 per game to pay the upgrade, so then you can pay as you go just on the upgrade . £700 off the core price, and then you may decide to upgrade for a few of them - It would certainly make some feel as though they are not throwing money away, but if someone does want drinks all season, it is no more expensive (maybe however be difficult to manage) . Do we target the corporates in the marketing for these lounges, as a couple of season tickets for entertaining is not that expensive in these days when people do actually want to watch the CityGive me some idea
Corporate boxes are possibly easier to answer. Companies need to invite guests that are interested in going. Not everyone enjoys football and even less so a specific team. Why do we have only half of the corporate boxes and balcony bar full, at best, all the time then?

Never got above 12k. Remember 13k being record breaking a year or two ago. Our maximum home gate was 19k at HR then.Sometimes wonder what our season ticket sales were like in PL in late 90s, when we got 23k at HR pretty regularly.

I agree. I just looked up how much a box was and was staggered at £27.5k for 12 people. Near enough 5 times the price of a season ticket per personThe majority of companies within the area can't afford / aren't willing to pay the existing prices.
Granted they were far too cheap under Boddy and SISU but there's a sweet spot which DK and the commercial team have vastly exceeded.
The fact only two people in the Mahou Lounge bought tickets and likely half the boxes still remain empty very much supports that point. Isn't the Balcony Bar also pretty much half empty?
The club could be making so much more money if they actually thought about the demographic they're selling into and employed people which had a basic understanding of pricing strategy.
Spot on and I would honestly suggest this should be sent directly to DKThe majority of companies within the area can't afford / aren't willing to pay the existing prices.
