Council Dart returns.Too much hubris about City's prospects, I really hope the bubble doesn't burst. We're no more than a mid table Championship club kicking above it's weight because it is currently well managed.
The work ethic Lampard has put in place must continue and the structural changes DK has put in place depend on continued excellence in recruitment choices.
Thus my fingers remain crossed and my expectations remain realistic until and unless results prove otherwise.
Agreed. We are a city of rugbyToo much hubris about City's prospects, I really hope the bubble doesn't burst. We're no more than a mid table Championship club kicking above it's weight because it is currently well managed.

100% agree and I don't think we've seen the true size either....my 3 teenage lads have been brought up on the rise of our club over the last 8 years....less than half of their school mates were Cov fansI’m sorry but we’re not kicking above our weight. We spent 34 year’s consecutively in the top flight. How many teams in the top two divisions can say that?
Don’t let a bad period (20 years) of mismanagement cloud your judgement. We are a much bigger club/fanbase than people give us credit for. We are very quickly recovering the lost generations but the potential has always been there.
Don't think structural problems with the stadium would help.Need to crack the corporate puzzle and balcony.
They've been robbing from your washing line mateThere were 3 people in my gym in City shirts last week (180 miles away from Cov) out of a total of 12 people in the entire gym, none of us related or even knew each other. That's how massive we are!

I remember when we first opened the arena 23k was the touted breakeven figure that we couldn't get anywhere near. TO have more than that in STHs is absurd.
Be interested to know what the break even is now. One of the problems for Doug is that because SISU didn't give a shit our prices didn't seem to go up in line with everyone else's. So now he needs to balance catching up without having a massive increase at any point.
I live in Burbage and you're telling lies.I live in Burbage and it is about 2:1 Cov v Leicester with the kids
Our season ticket prices are top 10 highest and matchday pricing up there with the most expensive in the league. Not sure we should be calling for them to go higher.
There will be no viable break even point, if we sold out every week we'd still make a hefty loss.
you're both brave for admitting you live in burbageI live in Burbage and you're telling lies.
The break even point of 23k we're talking about isn't about the club breaking even, its about matchday breaking even. So the cost of the rent, and all the associated costs of hosting a game. Basically in 2005 we needed to average 23k just to cover playing a game. I remember them at the time saying for the club overall to break even they would need to average 35k a game
In terms of matchday costs and rent we're almost certainly making a profit these days
That surprises me. Sure I was paying more for my season ticket about 15 years ago than we're paying now.Our season ticket prices are top 10 highest and matchday pricing up there with the most expensive in the league. Not sure we should be calling for them to go higher.

That can't be the case. The rent was around £45K per game and matchday costs a lot less than that. Matchday pricing in 2005/6 was £23. We didn't need 23K to cover matchday costs.

Were we far more expensive than other clubs in the past or something?
Posh boy!I live in Burbage and it is about 2:1 Cov v Leicester with the kids
Those 7 West Brom fans who've abandoned them in 10 years need to explain themselves.

They'd obviously heard you were going to be in turned up in their favourite shirt hoping you put it in the World Cup of Kits. There were 3 people in my gym in City shirts last week (180 miles away from Cov) out of a total of 12 people in the entire gym, none of us related or even knew each other. When is the general sale window?
They'll be around 1k left for general saleLooks like there won't be many making it to that point. Folks on the waiting list get first crack after the seat move window closed yesterday. In the waiting list page, the club says General Sale will start when the club announce it i.e. if there's any left of the 24k limit after the waiting list has had a run at it.
