There's a few coming up in the FZ now. We've just moved from row P to BB for a slightly better view.

I spoke to the ticket office about changing my 19 year old son's concession ticket to an adult ticket so my wife or niece could go if he didn't want to & was told that the season ticket is only for him to use. I thought the club were OK with STs being passed to family members so long as an adult wasn't using a concession ST. I will renew mine and hope his seat is still available when the seats are all released on the 24th and just buy an adult ST in his name.

You may not be able to do that as if you allocate it to his supporter number, I’m fairly certain it will default to the concession price due to his age.

My lad’s automatically went up to the under 18 bracket a couple of years ago after he turned 14.

I don’t even think it’s possible to change the date of birth on a profile either otherwise you could have just made him a couple of years older.

Many of the top premier league clubs have sth well into their hundreds as the tickets are passed through the generations once the original sth dies

I have a concession season ticket ( over 65). I wanted to pay the extra and have an adult season ticket so my son could go when I couldn’t.
They refused to sell me an adult ticket as I was too old.

Seems odd. The only logic is they want your son to buy one too

That is what I want to do, buy my son, who will be 20 when the season starts, an adult ST instead of his current 18-21 ST so my wife or niece can go when he can't. If @Sky Blue Pete is saying the club allows STs to be swapped between family members then why won't the ticket office let me do it?

How will they know? If you scan your ST at the Turnstiles, are they then going to ask for identification to match the names??? No!
I can’t make every game, so will just leave it for one of my mates to use.

I think the confusion here is that from what I remember the club did not tell Pete that season ticket sharing was allowed, quite the opposite, they said it was against the season ticket terms and conditions.

What was send IIRC was that if, on occasion, another person gained entry using a season ticket corresponding to their correct pricing band they were unlikely to be challenged or stopped.

That's a different situation to rocking up at the ticket office and asking them to facilitate a shared season ticket.

Similarly if you're asking the ticket office to change the person on a season ticket, that's not a renewal and even if the system allowed it wouldn't people who have paid to be on the waiting list be asking why there are new season ticket holders jumping the queue ahead of them?

it may be an issue over the longer term however
2 or 3 people go together, and due to death or relocation only 1 of them remain - if they cant pass on that season ticket, then the remaining one may not want to or be able to go alone - There should be some sort of transferability allowed in such cases

If you go on ticketing site there is a bit about joining the waiting list, if you click on it like you want to join it will tell you what number you are in the list

Sit too close. Dad can’t do more than a couple of steps so restricted to Block 35 and about six rows. Hoping we can move a couple back when seats are released.

But you can't in this scenario, cause his son's DOB on the system will show that he's eligible for an 18-21 ST. The only way I can see this scenario working is if they change the 18-21 seat to an adult ST and assign that to wife/niece. Means his son no longer has a dedicated ST, but there is then an adult ticket that can be passed between the 3 of them when needed.

I tried to buy his current ticket as an adult ticket but the ticket office wouldn't let me. I will renew mine and hope his seat is still available on the 24th and then buy it as an adult ticket. I could just renew his 18-21 ticket and let my wife or niece use it if they want to go, I don't think there is any thing on the turnstiles telling stewards that it is a concession ticket, but I thought the best thing to do was buy an adult ticket for him.

There are lights that show which type of ticket is used on each turnstyle

Think you are all missing what I am saying. They won’t let me purchase my season ticket and pay the adult price so it is an adult ticket, because they know I am a concession as they know my age.
Therefore someone over the age of 65 cannot purchase an adult ticket in their own name.
And yes I do realise I am offering to give them more money than I have to.

I know this won't solve the issue about changing your season ticket category to an adult one, as they know you are a concession, but you can change your concession ticket to an adult one on the occasions you can't go yourself, by ringing the ticket office.

They will then cancel your season card for that one match and issue a digital ticket for the adult attending in your place. I do this often when my grandson can't make the night matches due to travel times, so I exchange his U14 seat for an adult one and take a mate with me instead.

What is frustrating is you can't simply pay the difference between the concession seat and the full price one, you have to pay the full value for the ticket.

The turnstile light colours do detect the type of ticket being scanned, I read somewhere that they are upgrading the CBS turnstiles this summer, so in future they may go to photographic season cards perhaps, that show your face as you scan in? I gather they do this at Ipswich already, which stops even sharing a season card in the same category!

I went in before my son, 18-21 ST, and my friend, adult ST, who were both delayed by being searched and both lights were green above the turnstile when they scanned their STs.

That makes sense yep and they wouldn’t allow that. Again and maybe it’s because my lad is going to uni I thought the 18-21 tickets had disappeared but it seems I was wrong in that too

sorry everyone

I thought one flashed (concession) and one stayed lit (adult).

I might be wrong - probably am
