So, what happened to the idea of ending the pensioner concession and giving it to younger supporters?

Was that said by the club?

Pensioner discounts I understand less as most are generally more affluent by then and have more disposable income.

It's impossible to generalise like that

Edit: although I do realise that you just have!

We must have a sizeable number of 16-21s with STs too? Especially in Blocks 13-16.

Don’t we give a discount because we generalise?

Not too much? Min £80 even based on last year even for 18-20 y/o. Generally bank of M&D too if in education still. If we have a waiting list and they're taking a seat, whilst greedy I'd understand more, but we only sold out the last few games. I think it would be a risk to do that. And for 16/17 year olds even less likely to be working, then from £225 to double it is madness.

360v400 so £40.

Agree the 16-18 is madness

As someone who was within touching distance of the pensioner concession I don't have a problem with that increase but I do disagree with this rise for younger supporters if it turns out to be correct.

Same - I would have qualified last season - I do think it was wrong to make someone who had already benefited from it then have to pay full price again though

To be fair, it's madness if you want to cultivate support among the future generations.
If you want to maximise income in the short term before you flip the club, it makes sense but most of us prefer decisions that encourage the former.

My daughter is currently a U14 JSB but next year she’d go to be a U18 junior…. which was the concession for the other youngsters.

to be fair if they were 18 or over then I’d be expecting them to be an adult.
So if they have done away with the u18 junior one it’ll screw us for sitting in family zone, otherwise I think it would make sense.

My daughters 16 too and I can understand them getting rid of the 18-21 bracket as they are adults but 16-18 is a bit naughty if true most 16 year old are in sixth form or college not working we could lose a lot of our younger fanbase suppose we’ll find out tomorrow

I think it's better until we wait until it's announced by CCFC, all this supposition and woe is me doesn't do anyone any good

It's actually clearer that that. 16-17 year olds are required to remain in education and training in England following raising the participation age (RPA) legislation in 2013. It would definitely be naughty in my view to effectively make 16 and 17 year olds adults for the purpose of season tickets - if true.

If you can afford two bags from a paper round, then you can afford adult price.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see but scrapping concessions for young adults and increasing 60 to 65 is a bit of a kick in the teeth, especially for the young uns.

The journey continues indeed.

So what’s happening tomorrow do we know? Just Pricing announced and a selling date, or going on sale tomorrow as well?

Worth remembering that Doug has a 99% success rate when it comes to ticket pricing, despite so many on here claiming that he doesn’t know what he’s doing

Have to wait to see the detail but can sort of understand if he's banged the price up for certain age groups in the family zone. I sit there myself but does surprise me how many older teens are in there.

Would sort have expected the concession to be under 11 / under 14 at the most. Just looked and 17 year old going in for £100 seems a bit too cheap. Plus given the attendances and the fact the area is sold out means we are getting to the point where new youngsters cant get hooked on coming at the cheap price.

Not knocking anyone for taking advantage of the price because its a great one but with my kids always planned to move round and pay at bit more once they were older so we could enjoy the atmosphere the other side.

My gripe with kids pricing is if it's too expensive we price out future generations.
It will be a long time before that's proven to be correct or otherwise.

King's goals are short to medium term, I have no issue with that, but he's not concerned with the long term future of the club.
I doubt we'll ever have an owner who is.

On kids, don’t we have one of the cheapest tickets in the family zone though? Also silly question but where would a £400 season ticket (if adults were frozen) compared to 17-21 season tickets at other clubs?

As posted on about thread…because it’ll be all over until actual prices & facts are published.

How about we all stop the fooooking knee jerk reaction until some actual facts are published & react to that, rather than the rumour BS that gets spouted about.

In the family zone, yes, but outside of that our kids tickets are expensive.

Don't know where to get a list of all clubs prices and available concessions.
Would be interesting to see one.
