Simple question.

We bottle this year, go out with a whimper and either flop in the PO Semi's or drop out altogether.

Knowing this is our best chance in a lifetime. Squad will be dismantled in the summer due to contracts running short - league will be stronger next year. Players heads will have gone, and we'll likely be looking downwards rather than upwards.

Will you renew next year?

Absolutely 100%. I'll support the team whatever league we're in. If we don't go up then we go again next year, just like we said after the playoff final and playoff semi final.

Do current ST Holders get a window to move the seats before General Sale?

Desperately need to move.
There's not a great deal of availability currently though is there? Promotion failure will undoubtedly result in some chucking their ST in though.
I'm thinking the same.
Just out of interest, where are you thinking of moving from and to where?

We are in the FZ currently. I'm sick to death of being kicked in the back of the seat by the kid behind. And my eldest is 16 now, so he wants a bit more action.

All depends on the pricing, as to whether we move out of the FZ or just try different seats in there.

Yes I know exactly what you mean! I've had occasion to sit up there a few times over the last couple of seasons as my nephew is a family ST holder and takes his nephews.
Had an ST for a couple of seasons in North stand Blk 29 but that became a ball ache of a trek from and to the Cherry Tree so decided to move to South Stand last season.
Cherry Tree no longer plays a part in my match day routine as last season my youngest - then 10, unexpectedly and with great delight for me expressed a desire to want to attend.
We are currently Blk 10 about 10 rows from the front - He loves it but I fancy going back to something that offers more of an angled view and a little higher, anything from 15 - 18. Will be lucky tho if anything does become available.

Regardless of what League we're in, this squad is being dismantled, either in the Prem cos they ain't good enough to make the step up, or the Champ cos it's run it's course and needs freshening up.
This is the cycle of CCFC and most other clubs tbf, sell, invest and go again. at least we know Doug doesn't part with his £££££££ crazily.

Yes. As I recall, there are seats in the South Stand anyway. May even be some in areas like Block 15 as I think some will move to 10/9 if they can. It’s lost some of the sparkle it had but it’s still a good atmosphere.

Why would you not? Even if we were in L1, L2, NL...I presume this is aimed at the fans who are only interested if there is some success?

I'd disagree re dismantling if we were to go up. Maybe a couple of additions but otherwise keep the squad and more importantly on their current wages/length of contract.
Naturally relegation would follow but the club would be minted to start all over again.
Commendable tho Sunderland's approach this season has been. that expensive gamble comes off once every blue moon.

I fully lost my head after the Oxford game and posted on twitter that I was considering not renewing. But now I've calmed down, yes I'll be renewing regardless of what happens this season

This club is full of heartbreak but will support it till I die. I have said this in other forums and will repeat again, losing out on promotion this season in nowhere near as bad as the relegation into league 2. The financial talk and lack of stadium was so draining and took focus away from talking about the football. At least our problems now are on the pitch. We should also consider ourselves weirdly lucky to support a club that has been in every league in the EFL. We’ve experienced football’s rich tapestry.

I said it in another thread: I've been a CCFC fan since I was nine and one of the first things I did when my wife and I moved back to the area in 2020 was get a season ticket at the first opportunity. Since then, going to CCFC matches has become a beloved part of my routine and being a CCFC fan a core part of my life. I've been up and down the country, felt every emotion on the spectrum, hugged and danced with complete strangers, laughed, cried and never felt more alive. As long as I can afford to be a ST holder, I will continue to be one.

I dont mind the FZ at all really. It's been great for the last 2 or 3 seasons, as it's brought 3 sets of mates back together after life got in the way for a decade or so. Been really good to regularly see mates and their families consistantly at a good price. We also like the Anecdote for half time refreshements.

Just seat kicking has done my swede in this season. And the parents are oblivious or dont care.

I was there in League Two, missing out this season while being frustrating is far better than any of the shite we watched for the previous 25 years.

And that includes the previous Championship stint for me. Some really dull seasons back when we were first at the Ricoh. At least we now (usually) play attacking football and have exciting players in the squad
