I know people who still won't go to any town that begins with an N or anyplace that has an N in it. They get round it by saying they support Covetry City.

I'm guilty of one of the ones who was saying it at the time and I was in the wrong to do so, although I still do believe that had we boycotted with a united front we would have been home sooner, guess we'll never know. I was also peed at the EFL who broke their own rules to allow it to happen but at that stage it was SISU, the EFL and nobody else.

By the time we went to St Andrews circumstances were very different, not least because I think the Council and Wasps played a large part in our exile and on a personal PoV I wouldn't have denied my daughter the opportunity as lose them, as at that age they may never return. I also wasn't totally convinced I wouldn't be watching my last every City games before we went bust either and couldn't miss those or I'd regret it.

My major regret about Northampton apart from the genuine decent football we played was missing Callum Wilson who but for a few away games largely passed me by as a City player and why I never consider him when putting together best sides since we dropped from the Prem.

I only went once to Northampton. Lost 1-5 to Tranmere. Serves me right.

I went to the majority of Northampton games the first half of the season, just paying on the gate. As the football was so good, i then bought a half-season ticket, i think in December...

After that, i think we won one home game all season

During that summer my lad had done a Sky Blues in the Community thing and got free tickets to one game. I resisted going until the first game in November, a 3-0 win against someone or other and then I caved in and we got a ST. I did paste anti SISU banners in the toilets on one occasion, but they were soon taken down. Don't regret it. We played some great football and it was a privilege to see the Clarke/Wilson pairing for the season.

I never went but didn't/ don't have any animosity to those that did. We all have the choice to support out team as we think fit, but I think it dis-connected me from the Club during the exile, after going to games since 1967. I also only went to Brum twice whilst we were there, but did buy a S/T last year (for the shirt with my name on), and have done so again this year and one for my son and 2 JSB's for my grandsons.

It was a dark time in our history thanks to the CCC beligerent stance and SISU's stubborness, but we've come through stronger and with a great connect with the Club and players for the first time in years, and the footy is not to be sniffed at either. PUSB

The little digs between fans on the hill and fans going in the ground were definitely two-way. Some people from either side just couldn’t shut up when passing each other, unprovoked. Worst part of the clubs existence, far more sour than “Stans” (cringe)

I really enjoyed Stans. Worked in central brum… few beers train home.
Can I join the scab club or is there a slightly lesser name for people like me are referred as?

Reading through my PMs from years back. Was called a scab a few times because me and the old man went Northampton and supported through the dark days.. As we're still under Sisu ownership and people have ignored NOPM and stopped singing we want Sisu out, does it still count?

Those wankers advocating shutting the club down entirely and praising London Wasps’ “great business sense” and coming out with “up the council” on here have always been far worse.

There were a couple of high-scoring thrillers there in the first part of the season. Clark and Wilson were a superb partnership. That left-back who went to Derby (Christie?) rampaging down the flank.

Funniest moment was one of the matches in the 2nd half of the season. I stood behind the goal, a couple of rows behind the original GMK lot (Knowl, Texas and a handful of others)..... Knowl had been giving Carl Baker a bit of "encouragement" (he was playing very poorly tbf).... he misplaced a simple pass and Knowl let him have it again... 10 seconds later he scored an overhead kick

On GMK, it was a character going by the name of jim_blyth who started with suggesting Northampton attendees be called scabs. That certainly opened up a very long thread of some very personal opinions. Personally, I didnt go to Sixfields even though it was easier to get to from my home in Norwich. It was at a time when I simply didnt want to see us playing our games at anywhere other than in Coventry. I had no problem whatsoever with those who went to watch at Northampton but got plenty of ill feeling to those dishing out the abuse at the turnstiles to those who simply wanted to see their team play football.

I saw pretty well every match there , the worse thing was that the seats we’re so close together I had to turn my knees sideways - it was a 90 mile round trip but the football was pretty good - you were close to the players and we did see the best of Wilson Clarke and Christie

Was that the win against Leyton Orient who were absolutely flying under a certain Russell Slade? I remember Franck Moussa scoring an absolute worldie.

Went myself a few times and purely from a footballing point of view I'm glad that I did because until that point I'd never seen a Coventry side scoring goals like we did.

Always remember a random 2-0 victory against Colchester being one of the most convincing wins I've seen from Cov. Wilson got both goals

That was the only game I did in the ground.

Deep breath

and let's compare and contrast reactions... ;) I always got taught, judge for yourself if you wanted to call something, not rely on second hand information... So after doing the hill v Sheff Utd, did the ground tonight. Persuaded a mate to go too. First things first, the fact I only go...

I went to one Wasps game, and stood for 80 minutes with a Sisu Out flag on display also i didn't pay for the ticket or purchase anything.
It's safe to say i pissed off more than several Wasps fans that day.

My sister and her husband went to a Wasps game once, I wasn't happy but she said it was a day out and it was free. Fair enough really, they aren't City fans and it made me realise how stupid you'd actually have to be to pay for a ticket to watch Wasps.
Their current attendances are pathetic but you have to assume that on top of that many of the people in there probably didn't pay. Its embarrassing.
