What an odd name "SAVE OUR CITY" - save us from what?

The only thing CCFC needs saving from is those mugs at SISU - i.e put it into admin or sell it. They are the only options we should be forcing SISU to do and whatever it takes to do that, we should be backing.

  • We have a large city population
  • We have a strong fan base
  • We have the usage of a state-of-the-art stadium with option to purchase

Clubs like that don't disappear. There's always a buyer.

SOC are just a few fame seekers getting excited and buzzing from arranging meetings with people that run the club - who then tell them nothing (Or what they want to tell them) and keep the rest on the QT.

Sounds to me like they've been sucked in big time! (the old "we can work through this together" line from SISU to SOC)

But hey, there's some people with some cool titles in the organisation!

SOC (Or its supporters/men of title) please tell us based on your minutes re:

"...many points were
covered including the plans of the owners, the success of the protest, feeling of the fans towards the
club and the owners, how fans had been let down by lots of words and few deeds from the club"

1. You spend hours writing professional minutes for your meeting - but where are the FULL MINUTES from the meeting with Tim Fisher? What was asked and what were his full answers?

If your not allowed to say, then that defeats the whole object of the meeting. It was to get answers for us was it not?

"The club will be contacted to see if, again in the new found spirit of
co-operation, they are willing to drop match day prices to £10 for adults and £1 for kids. We will do our
bit with publicity etc"

2. Why are we agreeing to help the owners of the club when we have had NOTHING FROM THEIR SIDE???? Such a promotion is an insult to the fans after the recent sale of our last remaining player of real worth and the replacement of un-proven, cost cutting variety.

For those who say they are supporting the team - I say, go to an away game then.

If you are a ST holder and you go to every game but no away games then you are still a good fan right? So, if you go to every away game and no home games - ITS THE SAME.

Support these crooks and they'll hang on as long as they can.

Kodac used to have the mission statement "KILL KONICA" so how's about a new organistation (for people with too much time on their hands) called...

KILL SISU:jerkit:

Where in these two quotes does it sound like they are trying to get SISU out?

"The club will be contacted to see if, again in the new found spirit of
co-operation
, they are willing to drop match day prices to £10 for adults and £1 for kids. We will do our

"many points were

Rev, I'm promoting the backing of not spending a penny on SISU...

"The only thing CCFC needs saving from is those mugs at SISU - i.e put it into admin or sell it. They are the only options we should be forcing SISU to do and whatever it takes to do that, we should be backing."

It's easy to throw stones from a far. Rather than criticise Jan and his mob perhaps you could lend a hand? I may not agree with everything they are doing but they are trying to help and the apathy of our fans arond this subject is unbelievable.

And whilst we are here we don't have a strong fan base IMO?

They're doing what you and I are doing on here, but on much wider scale. We join and post on this forum to voice our opinions, a lot of those are vociferous in their dislike of SISU. Save Our City are a group of people that have decided to take those opinions outside the walls of e-wonderland and try and do something, anything. You may not like or agree with it but respect is warranted instead of some churlish post about how they're attention seeking when it's blatantly obvious they have nothing but the best intentions, however misplaced you find those to be.

For me it looks like SOC have gone from doing anything to get SISU out to working alongside SISU to be the voice of the fans.
I'd like to know what questions were asked to TF and what his responses were.
I was at the protests as I want SISU out, but what's next?
Seems like SISU have drawn SOC in and will eventually just be more SISU puppets.
More bad publicity is needed for SISU until they are hounded out the club.

This away day sounds more like a fun fan away day that every club do and not lets support the boys away from home to get a message across to SISU. Whatever that would be (can't think of one)

Fuck me we have our work cut out. I think we should leave the campaign to this pleb and mexico88 to come forward with there ground breaking ideas, to carry it forward and to finally get SISU out.

Now this is a load of tosh. For one thing the financial climate is harsher now than ever and it's only a matter of time before a "supposedly big" club goes under. As for us having a strong fanbase..are you INSANE?!?

So one protest which got national coverage and that's it???

How how about a march through reading an every away game. That will get local coverage and maybe national each away game, but more importantly it is spreading the word of these parasites and what they have done to our club

It's good what they are trying to achieve and FairPlay to them for doing so. I don't think it will make the slightest bit of difference to what Sisu do though. Sisu have very much got their own timescales and agendas.

All the best

Nope, not what I said. They are trying to think of other ideas to get the word across, so maybe you should drop them a line with yours?

Are they? Look at the aims of the SOC on the last page of the minutes. Some points are valid but overall it reads as doing everything SISU want to rebuild the bridges they burnt with the fans. Nothing about carrying on getting the word across about the dismal job SISU have done.

BTW: all the points I feel would be valid of it was a fresh board.

I've been away for a couple of days so I haven't seen, let alone read the minutes! I'm sure, considering the whole point of the group was to protest against SISU, that they haven't been taken in by any spin and that they're still working towards a goal that was set out. I hope, anyway!

The link for the minutes is in another thread, but no mention of trying to get them out. Just improve communication with the club and fans which is a valid point but only after SISU have gone and not before!!!

Sounds like the point of the group has been lost and they should change the name of the group to something more befitting

If some people really think that people like Brinner and Jan are about building bridges with SISU, they don't know their work very well at all!

So how is improving relations between club an fans gonna raise awareness of sisu's dreadful running of this club.

What's the next step to raise awareness then. I'll make sure I'm there like the protest

The Reverend Skyblue

I've never protested or supported a protest about anything in my life up til now, but i feel the old saying Rome was'nt built in a day is apt.

I agree violent protests will grab more attention nationally, but we'll all be labelled thugs with nothing better to do. Also we will get the wrong type of person invoved,we all know one, solely because he wants a fight with the police and stewards .This attention from violent or troblesome action will soon be dimissed nationally, and soon forgotten, because of this.

A well organised protest group with an intelligant aim and message will do the job better longer term, getting rid of SISU may be the greatest fight this club has had both on and off the pitch

We all know how stubborn the bastards are, they just won't one day get up ,and think lets up and leave because we the fans want them to go.They need pushing out , or forcing out until they have no further action, or nowhere to go, but to up and leave, and thats why some of us have to be a little patient, and i know how hard that is sometimes.
