Meant to be a very good talent. But 18, big ask to come and be a regular in the championship to the standard need. But it makes sense for a cheap loan
Ayari just wasn't ready for the rough stuff in the championship in my opinion. This lad whilst not the biggest certainly has a good bit of aggression and strength about him.
Ayari is also getting plenty of PL minutes now, we just used his badly
we played him as a 10 a lot and he is better much deeper than that
he was a little lightweight to start but we didn't really give him a chance to get used to it
He wasn't ready for big boys football when he was here.
He made Allen look like a hard man.
He had bags of talent, just needed to get used to the physical stuff.

Considering he wasn’t at the races for us or Blackburn, it’s probably more likely the case that last year was a great experience for him in terms of development but wasn’t quite ready to make a mark at our level.
So often in football, you’ve just got to be at the right place at the right time. You could tell last season that he had talent and some of the comments made about him were OTT (the MO on this forum).
That said, I did not have Ayari being a consistent Prem squad player on my 2024/25 bingo card.
Yes i forgot about Andrews playing conference league football this season and being on the books of a top 4 premier league side. Can see why there is no point now.....

The potential upside of a loan such as this is key. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out .
