Couldn't make it tonight due to work. But I'll be sure to start a smug thread next time I go.

Also, the point of the thread was to get an opinion of those that were there. I cant make Saturday due to work, so I wouldn't start a thread having a go at people who weren't there

No it's a fair point. I can't comment on the performance. In future I want be making assumptions on new signings without seeing them either.

Fair enough, I misinterpreted the way you wrote the opening to the thread.

Most entertaining part of last night was some crazy old cov fan calling Brentfords Keeper 'MOONIE!!!' very funny!!

However, no signs for me that we can progress quickly in this league from last night... with the exception of a natural goalscorer in Mcgoldrick. - will not surprise me if come start of Feb our arses are going heading into a relegation battle.

Heard a few fans letting their thoughts be known to the lads as they walked off the park... usually i would say this doesnt help them etc, but this feeling has now gone, i think they need to realise the shit were in and how the fans feel.

Was also going to do Orient away saturday - but have sacked that off... slowly losing it.

Spot on, they need to know that we are not happy to spend 100 quid plus, to see garbage

I went to the game, as I live in London and it was a pretty easy journey (work weekends, so can't go as much as I'd like)... the thing that stood out for me was how basic the defensive errors were. We could quite easily have shipped four or five on Tuesday, and then this place would be full of even more negativity. Brentford missed three or four free headers from on or in the six yard box with some incredibly inept finishing. In addition, their first goal was one of the worst I've seen us concede in many years - the central midfielder was able to drift from the right wing all the way across the box without anyone coming to meet him, then Clarke got himself in a horrible position and didn't track the runner who drifted in from the left. It was so simple, and so easily avoided. This seems to be a running trend this year, we're conceding so many great chances.

Yeah Clarke was so flat footed for the goal, turned to face it square with a man outside him homing in on the box!! - school boy stuff, always going to take him an age to turn and make up ground. I sort of hope he had no idea the runner was there!!
