In the past only lge 2 clubs have had salary caps. (lge 1 might now)
Had to do a bit of work in this area recently,.........the rules are actually quite strict, and the clubs have to send various reports to the football lge to show they are going to be within the salary cap.
Next season the plan is for Championship clubs to join in as well.......from what i've seen you have to show that your allowable income for the following season (this is normally based on the previous season/ not all income is classed as allowable) and the commited salary costs based on player contracts.
If you exceed the 55% limit then you get a transfer embargo.
Could be chaos.........
