Thomas at the end is hilarious too when the ref is telling him to take the throw and he’s saying the right back is taking it

Yeah likewise. I stood directly behind the goal as he watched the 4th goal on the big screen above the stand and after he viewed it, he looked down directly at the fans and genuinely looked like he was about to cry as he was getting abuse.

As bad as he was, he's still only human. Felt sorry for him to be honest.
There was some twat shouting obsenities at him and making comments about his mrs. We have some real bell ends in our support

If you want Sakamoto to have a different chant, start it. I don't get what's so bad with the one he has tbh. Usual issue of fans on coke singing stuff at twice the speed it should be, but no reason it can't be as loud as EMC's.

Certain songs work. It's the cadence, key and punchy nature of EMCs which makes it work. The Sakamoto doesn't work as a chant on any level.

Nothing stopping folks from starting another one.

Other than the makeup of the crowd in different locations and the fact the drum man decides what songs are sung.

I think drummer man has said a fair few times they'd rather other people start songs sometimes. If people wait to see what they start, that's on us.

Couldn't agree more. The current Sakamoto song just doesn't work as a football chant. You can barely hear it when its sung. Contrast that with EMCs which is pretty much perfect for a stadium chant, just like the old Co'H, Hamer and Gyokeres ones were.

The Haji Wright song is usually one of the loudest all around the ground, and it's probably because it's simple, catchy and everyone can join in

Have you got the lyrics for this one, as I keep forgetting them - think it's an age thing. Thanks in advance.
