It will be pretty easy to manage really. They will use the CCTV to identify which seats aren’t being sat in and cancel the STs for those seats whilst offering a one time opportunity to transfer to the safe standing areas.

The club asked where we wanted the safe standing, then ignored the wishes of the responders. The obvious answer is just to extend the safe standing further round.

This is why there needs to be an explanation why they didn’t, or couldn‘t do anything other than what they have done. It may well be that Frasers wouldn’t allow it anywhere else. Given King’s willingness to accept when the club have got things wrong, do you think it has been done for no logical reason?

Also, it was a consultation not a referendum.

It was tongue in cheek, Mr Piggy. Glad you bit though.

I assume some of your posts occupy positions 1 to 4.

Damned if they do and damned if they don’t. However, if there were likely to be restrictions on options for location that should have been made clear as part of the consultation process. In mitigation, the club doesn’t have a history of consulting with fans like this.

It’s possible that they want concerts to be all seated, so all safe standing is behind where the stage would be.

Sitting won’t be enforced. That safe standing zone doesn’t cover for half the amount that usually are stood, it’s that daft it’s almost pointless.

Whilst being at the age where I prefer sitting and having seen the aftermath of Hillsborough .I find it very strange Safety Authorities have allowed people standing in seated areas to continue without taking action(how they get round the Taylor report insurancewise I don't know).
The club have put in safe standing. If fans want to. Move there.
Now might just be the time to enforce it.

they've installed rail seating? You still have a seat the safe standing area

also 15 where our seats are is also behind the goal line so would be behind any stage

What do you want 1000s of people to banned for standing in a seating area? I dislike having a seat and until now have not had the choice to stand for our games . It's only natural that at a lot of names people will stand in seating areas especially when there are exciting moments in games.Ive been to many games in the UK and around the world ,the vast majority of people still stand up in seated areas.

I don't know if you were old enough to remember Hillsborough or even 1971 Ibrox but before these no one would have thought such things could happen but they did.
Hindsight is great but it doesn't bring back dead people.I do think so far luck has been on the fans side.
If people want to stand go to SAFE standing areas

Don't think so .
If you said before those 2 events that 97 people in 1 penned area or 66 on 1 exit terrace would die.
I would have said "no way" but once you get bodies falling on people in front that is where problem multply.
Sorry to be so morbid but like I said safe not sorry.

Seems empty looking at the blue dots. Can we see this filling up before the season starts, we’ve moved here as we had 3 more people who wanted to come so couldn’t sit in our usual seats in block 18! Hopefully not a decision we come to regret

That won't be possible. There will be at the very least 1000 people standing next season in seated areas. There are a few hundred seats available in standing areas left.

A rough count suggests there's probably about 250 standing spots left. They've sold better than people think.

Only a few hundred standing spots left. They will sell for every game. Block 10 hasn't sold well though.

That's a myth. Most major grounds in England have safe standing now. These are the same stadiums that hosted Taylor Swift concerts this summer.

Then they need to add more spaces.

Other clubs have increased standing because there is a clear desire.

I agreed originally that people should move over if they want to stand but based on sales there really isn't much capacity left. Even if they club offered people the chance to move free of charge, they wouldn't house the extra 1500 people who want to stand in 15 and at the top of 16.

I'm personally excited by the prospect of 6 blocks dedicated to standing and making an atmosphere. The corner became too small in recent years and closed off to non-ST holders.

Chosen because they thought more people would migrate from 15 and 16 to the South Stand. Some, like me, did. Plenty didn't.

Despite what you say I wager it would be for staging a concert myself if they choose to have one that is?

Presumably those that chose not to migrate have chosen to sit and will not complain when forced to do so.
