I'm not talking about me, these are reasons people have given for not wanting to move,

They won’t be standing there for long will they?
FWIW, I’m all for standing. The allocated areas from 1/2 way and above work well as well.

‘Ref the family zone, the club’s pricing for the area is very good. Tickets belong to the club, so asking for them back is quite reasonable if they aren’t going to be used for some games.

Surely there’s no good reason to stay in the corner other than the ability to stand and the atmosphere - do people really prefer the view?! Not been in the South Stand before, are the facilities much worse?

I guess some won't like not being able to move around to see others before the game as the concourses are separated. There were some complaints after the QPR game.

Meanwhile back in the real world.

It seems lots of 15 and 16 don't want to move as they likely lose the social groups they have formed over a decade or so which is likely., some people like their view, some people have lost people who they sat with and don't want to move and lose that persons seat, some like the much better facilities in the east stand.

It is strange they say in the article they have listened when people said they wanted it in "singers corner" but have only done it in half of the corner.

They are free to sit where they want. And stand if they want to. Do some of the fans come to the matches in their pajamas and ask teddy to stand next to them?

Safe standing isn’t about meeting customer needs about enabling more season tickets to be sold.

I was in block 12 on Saturday for the first time since the Middlesbrough cup game in 2006.
There are two bars/ food outlets, a few toilets and a small
concourse. Not sure if the work that’s planned this summer is going to give the home fans in the south stand access to the rest of the stadium’s facilities?

Not sure, it's a different building on a different level, the concourse in the south stand is actually quite a bit lower than the concourse in the east stand.

Also in the wall at the end of the east stand concourse is a ladies toilets so they would have to be ripped out and rebuilt somewhere else but there's not space to to do that,

They said infrastructure works are taking place this summer in the concourse. I'm sure improvements will be made.

The standing thing is a joke when taking into account that we always stand at away games wherever we are.

I'm in block 16 and consider myself part of singer's corner. Should have done 15 and 16 too in my opinion. Realise they're never going to please everyone but if you're doing singers corner, do it all.

People thought they'd be able to get to the east stand and did not realise it is a self contained stand

A Cardiff those standing in the non safe standing were given one warning and told they would be removed from the stadium. I imagine this may happen here as well.

They won't open it up to the rest of the bowl. As you've said, it would be a very expensive and difficult bit of work.

It seems a lot of the concourse is used up segregating fans currently. Hence the huge segregation. I assume the infrastructure works are building walls/adding shutters which should extend the concourse.

This is a bit odd. If they continue to turn a blind eye to standing in block 16 then not that arsed. If they start to clamp down, then guess I'd have to move, but don't fancy having to give seat up for cup games and quite like where I sit. Guessing everyone will still stand in any case.

No, just generally. I don't think there's many things Doug's done since his arrival that there hasn't been at least some complaints.

Case in point, people in the FZ complaining that they aren’t allowed to buy a ticket at the fraction of the cost to the rest of us, where they then turn up for only a quarter of the games and prevent more deserving families from being able to attend

well why did you say that that people who complained about not being able to get food or drinks, some of whom had kids with them was "mental"?

the club is on a run this week of disasters, the disabled tickets rules have taken something that needed to be reformed and made it worse

A bit like you O'Day, kick off about anything I say. Even if I bought you a winning lottery ticket you'd have a pop.

Cov fan: Ah na, im not moving to safe standing areas, il moan because i want to stand in the seating area, stewards are wankers for asking me to sit down, and so is any fan who chose to sit in the sitting area.

Not really what people are saying though. They asked fans where the area should be, they overwhelming said 14-16, so they put it somewhere else. People are simply questioning the logic behind that. Nobody is frothing at the gills over it.

Exactly, most are saying "ok, we are probably not going to move but was does you press release say you have listen and made singers corner safe standing when you have not"

Well its available it 14, im guessing there is logistical and politics with getting it agreed, like getting 13 open aswell. But its there available to anyone who wants to stand and still people moan.

I'm simply pointing out the flaws in the plan, unlike you who will cheerlead anything the club does such as the pricing last year that you told was was brilliant right up to the moment they had to lower the children's pricing.

It is ok to say "actually this could be better"
