You have to keep it real we have no chance of stopping up but we are only 90 minutes from Wembley, it's alright saying choose one we could lose on Tuesday and still be relegated

Exactly....slade has to see that! That is why his post match comments wound me up so much. Please just give us something to look forward to before we have to hope for a Wembley appearance in the FA trophy or even the FA vase!!

I thought Robins was a good manager.

I also thought Mowbray was a good manager, albeit with one major chink in his armour of that, that when things go wrong he is unable to turn things round.

From what I have read of Slade, I think he is not a bad manager either. Not sticking up for him here, but he came with us already entrenched in the bottom four, so started the job having to take on the role of trouble shooter.

I think Robins is an ok manager, he was smart enough to get out before it turns to shit as it always does. Then as usual we then blame him.
Mowbray I think is a good manager.
Slade I think will be a perfect manager for division 4.

Has anyone else heard the RUMOUR that RS is not being paid a wage but only bonuses and expenses?

Does anyone know if RS has broken the record for the fewest league games before a noticable number of fans were calling for his sacking?

Slade really doesn't look up to the task of getting a single win in League One nevermind keeping us up. Would probably be best for all if he just threw the towel in and did the sweeping up till the end of the season..... Get our training ground nice and prepared for the houses SISU are planning to build...after that, maybe he should pop down to the Allan Higgs and give some of the young lads a lesson on how to sweep up and empty the bins - prepare them for their future careers now that SISU are pulling the plug on the academy too!

I think people were calling for us head after 2/3 games in charge! Can't blame them either - useless!

Alex McLeish at Villa, Brian Laws at Burnley had 0 games before the fans were calling for their heads. Slade has had a honeymoon period if not exactly much goodwill.

He needs to hit the ground running. Few wins will turn things around.

Think you'll find that will be the players.... should they not turn up mentally strong enough.
If a chance to play at Wembley is not enough to get you up and fighting for 94 minutes and giving your all well it confirms everything. Release them all come may.. baring Beavon.

I thought he was the best option at the time; a manager who knew the lower leagues and had experience of being in similar situations to ours.

My opinion was slightly dimmed by some people within the game who told me he was 'shocking' and 'tactically clueless', unfortunately they are being proved right.

I am sure he is trying, but the lack of adaptability and style of football is truly awful. If he genuinely thinks the tactics he sets are the best way to win a game of football with our squad, he is on Thorn's level.

Bit late for that isn't it? 7 league games in already, he's got a far worse "points per game" than Mowbray this season, never mind Venus.

haha you are way more bias towards slade than i am mowbray

yes if players go out cos dont compete its their fault of course. although manager motivation brought into question
but if they lose because long ball tactics just gift possession back to opposition then that is slades fault.

I partly agree with you on some players as there confidence and desire may be higher due to the winning streak in the cup... however we've not played any team to note in the competition mainly other kids in there u23 sides with respect.
They ain't playing against the more hardened season 6ft pro who's played more than 3/4 seasons at this level and brushes our frail kids aside like in the league so far this season. Wycombe will be the telling test and I fear they will spoil out dreams of a day in the sun.

Can't disagree with that Steve.

Also they are playing without any real pressure (obviously until last game and tonight's)

Tonight a real test, pressures on and playing a decent side.

If they can do it tonight maybe Slade does need to re-assess is league playing personnel.

Yes, this is why it's very important to have a manager in place to decide should we salvage anyone from this season tho I don't think many if any have the mental strength and concentration. We need to identify targets and get them in.
Business at this level is done in the early summer.
