Get Oggy back.

Hold on you cloud shouters….

He’s got to be worth going in one day a week to do a bit of extra goalkeeping coaching.

The bloke spends his time now watching CCFC and he’s a legend and called the equaliser bang on.

We've signed another keeper who panics when the ball comes in the box.

I'm confident he'll turn out to be very good - let's not forget Wright had been written off after a month.

Including the friendly he’s been at fault for at least 4 goals. How many more bollock ups is he allowed?

I think the point about questioning Rushworth’s performance so far is valid. We can’t start using preseason friendlies for point scoring though surely

if we’re going back to Wilson what was the point of signing rushworth, just stick with him until Dovins back, couple of questionable goals but nowhere near Wilson and Collins mistakes

He might do. I believe that you build a team around the best keepers. All the good sides have been that way

Does the goalkeeping coach ever have to pay rhe price for regressing multiple keepers ?

What do you think he’s telling them to do? Would the same keepers otherwise be great?

The idea that one coach is to blame for various keepers (most of them cheap stopgaps) making mistakes seems fanciful to me.

Thomas and Kitching have been at fault for just as many. Let’s start Jake Bidwell and Callum Perry against Norwich I reckon.

I dont think they have. Rushworth has been at fault in every game we've conceded for a goal. Hes no better than Wilson on the showing so far and that shit show from him today for the second goal was entirely down to him. The first goal if Collins had parried the ball out like that from the free kick you would have been calling him out.

Have to say I thought Rushworth’s ‘errors’ on both free kicks were extremely understandable. The first one bounced awkwardly in front of him and the second was a very clever bit of improvisation.

The notion that one coach is going to turn a £6 million keeper into Lee Burge in less than a month without anyone noticing just doesn’t make sense to me.

Was he though? 10 clean sheets (I think) was way down the division table and they had Grimes in front of him

Let’s not write off another keeper we stick with rushworth until dovins back, if he hasn’t improved then dovin comes back in, he’s nowhere near as bad as Wilson,

Rushworth is fine. There’s a common denominator in us having poor keepers - we have a poor defence.

Its an exaggeration .. fact is teams do improve on coaches and our keeper one seems to have overseen some serious goalkeeping regression

We’ve done this to death of course, but for the most part he’s worked with keepers plucked from L1 who have generally put in L1-grade performances.

The exceptions are Dovin who has come on promisingly in his first few months here, and Wilson who has improved exponentially.

I know I’ll get the usual shoulder biters ranting in reply but I don’t understand why we didn’t get Ady back to work with Lampard and his ex-Chelsea crew and why Oggy isn’t given the chance of at least helping out.

Blah blah.

Let's not forget that more than a few wrote off Dovin after a few games and were calling for Wilson to return to the side...

Great. Alex Ferguson was winning stuff at 72.

It’s goalkeeping. Not sure the fact that Oggy probably smokes a hundred a day and needs a zimmer (satire, Oggy) stops him passing on his wisdom about setting up a wall and where to stand for a corner.

People were desperate to get rid of Oggy as a coach as the keepers weren't improving enough. At least they weren't going backwards like we see now.

Far too early to write Rushworth off but at this point I'm glad our offer to buy him didn't get accepted. What is concerned is that we have had multiple keepers come in who have regressed under our coaching setup, in some cases to a significant level.

I’d agree if it were teaching Simms how to run channels.

It’s one day a week passing on some tips from the sidelines I was suggesting.

Plus, he’s 67.

Like, under the retirement age for the Uk now, I think.

Have a biscuit.

To be honest I think he was hard done by.

I’ll rewatch at some point but both fouls were completely silly and avoidable which puts us in shite situations. Same at Derby as well. The centre halves need to be good in this system and so far, both are putting under needless pressure.

Same happened with Dovin at the start last year with stupid errors undermining him until he could start showing his quality.

I find that hard to believe given the scale of the clearout that did happen. If Williams is as toxic as you say he is, why wouldn’t he be first out of the door? Plenty of other more senior coaches were disposed of very quickly.
