Is this your weekly posting rampage?

Read the thread, the rumours on here were quite clearly trying to get people worked up. Hence "get your phones ready", "get ready to pick your sides" etc.

Not sure about 'lost'.
I would love to know what the agreement is for him to be finally financially rewarded.
He does seem quite negative towards any bids.
I really hope that his own financial reward isn't coming into any of this decision making.
We have missed out in a take over before because it didn't suit the chairman personally. Despite him saying it was a good enough offer for SISU. Then orange Ken advised SISU not to accept and the bid got leaked out scuppering the deal.

Myfrrling with this one. Is that you would not bid for the club unless you knew you could do business with Wasps first. So I guess that a deal with Wasps was agreed in principle to stay at the Ricoh. Not SISU.

Then the bid to SISU was unfortunately rejected.

I understand why SISU need to see proof of cash. I don't understand why they need to know who is actually bidding.

When they bid Joy/RR led the bid but the cash was from other investors whom have never been named.

They probably want to no who is bidding to see if they can fleece them say a mega rich Arab they would hold them to ransom. No matter what why would you keep hold of ccfc they definitely have an alternative motive in the ownership of our club.

Or they want to see if it's an actual serious bid.

Obviously more than 500 grand otherwise that wouldn't be the opening bid. No-one is going to take the first offer.

CCFC is still a name/ brand, as was proved with over 40000 people taking a trip down to `London.

The question is what are the preference shares or ARVO debts worth to Joy and her investors. If CCFC tick over without big losses in any league, there is no desperate need to sell. So 500 grand is not a great incentive to admit your losses to the investors. You could keep plodding along at little or no further cost.

I think they need a figure to show that they got something back by holding on and reducing losses. Even if CCFC is worth nothing on paper, you have people who will want to give it a go - for their egos or to gain publicity and good will in their businesses. So there is a value to someone, no matter how it looks on paper.

My guess would be 5 million plus maybe a few hundred grand. Why? Because of human nature, not profit and loss thinking. CCFC would be a nice thing to have, especially if you could get things moving.

I've said time & time again I think it hinges on making the ARVO investment turn a profit, which means £10M because ARVO have put in about £8M so far.
However I do not think SISU will sell if they can run the club in league 2 at breakeven.
This bid/refusal scenario will continue for some time, I don't think there will be a sale this summer.

less fans make it hard to breakeven

they will slash budget but then that may mean non league football

will they do it out of spite? i wonder

How many others then said "lets make them accept it at the walsall game".

If the massive news that a fantastic offer was rejected was to have come out in the telegraph today, the day before the walsall game then it would have stirred a fair bit up.

The nature of the clubs rebutle of the bid makes me feel that this is not going to happen any time soon unless they get an offer of some magnitude. The other question is how many local business men have got the financial clout to make a substantial bid as Joy will want a cash 7 figure sum to sell. The CT quoted a 6 figure sum which is going to fall short of the mark. The other question is why would you take a deal linked to promotion to trigger payments, if you go nowhere you get nothing. I welcome the fact that their has been a bid but is their any willingness from Sisu to deal with Hoffman?

Mcdevitt heard something but got his facts wrong. So he must know someone who knows someone involved. That's not the same as intentionally leaking it to get people angry.
That's just people not keeping their gobs shut.

And the other guy who said his mate knows Hoffman or something, then suddenly did a U Turn and said it's because his daughter is signing for Wasps.

Tend to agree with that. Cant see a sale happening before the season kicks off and I think you're probably in the right ballpark for what Arvo are going to want and therein lies the problem. If you look at other clubs that have sold recently who are higher up the pyramid, have more valuable squad's, own there own stadium, training ground and academy sites and use that as the benchmark I would think there's little realistic chance of anyone coming in with a £10M bid. Could be wrong but that's my feeling.

Has anybody thought why any bids have been rejected with Hoffman in the equation? I have my theories as to why this is. Discuss, and I'll give my thoughts on it later.

I think Sisu have a personal issue with hoffman and don't want to deal with him. Although that is completely unprofessional if an offer is being made for the business.

However, I think it's fair to say Joe Elliott is involved as well and this is all very personal.

Have to get past the tit for tat for negotiations to take place.

Fisher keeps banging on about revealing the identity of the investors.

I don't recall how many said it, but, come on, "let's make them accept it at the Walsall game? I mean, it's not like there's been any protests at other games eh? Last home match of the season, we're relegated, you really think people needed any "whipping up" Do you think it will have any effect on Fisher anyway regarding any bid? Seriously?

Tim has officially told everyone now, so would it have been any different?

If people thought an amazing offer had been put in and rejected then they would be even more fired up. There is so much confusion about, people are still saying they hope the offer is accepted FFS.

I know John , but this was the first time he gave me information .
The man who normally gives me information about player transfers etc said it wasn't a contract about a takeover (so it appears that this time he was wrong )

Fair to say John clearly was correct this time that something was going on .
It's hard to know what to think when you get told several pieces of information , but the reality is a bid was made and by the sounds of it negotiations will continue.
I can understand the arguments about this before the news broke , but I'm struggling to understand why everybody is still arguing about this

By the way I could show you inboxes on Facebook that tell me business men from Coventry are going to try and get the club once relegation is confirmed , this was a few days before the post on Facebook and any leak being mentioned .
I chose to believe my usual source over these rumours once he got in touch because if never had solid info before from other people .
Either way just be happy people are trying to remove SISU

I thought because the offer was too low, which I would agree with, what worries me is what they think is acceptable because it's bound to be unrealistic.

What is your other reason SBK? edit: just read your post above

I do believe they wouldn't play their best hand straight away , if they are serious about this they will keep negotiating up until they reach their limit

I must be just paid once a week now. Times are hard?

Alternatively it could be just a sensible way to look at things.

As oppose to thinking everybody is infiltrating the site for sinister purposes.

The good thing is it seems talks are still ongoing anyway.
