Wow there is 4-5 pages already of bullshit on a new stadium. When we will stop talking about it.

It will never happen ffs. The more articles released and more time we give it is pointless and futile. We need to stay in the division first.

It'd be stretching a point(!) but he could meet me, or others on this board - I'd tell him he was a nutter, and he'd have met with a council ref: a football stadium site.

SG reminded attendees that she was not an employee, contractor or in any way remunerated or retained by the Football Club. She is a life long fan of over 40 years.

So, all you disbelievers, she has now categorically stated that she isn't paid by CCFC, so lets stop the accusations now eh?

* she didn't mention SISU or any other group companies however...

I would suggest that he will have met both Rugby and Nuneaton councils as he stated. In the minutes he chooses not to say when or the subject mater simply that he has met them. He leaves us to join the dots.

Yes I know CCFC there seems to be a "contradiction" there doesn't there

other stuff

The economic study. So stadium build 14m? ....... I assume including land purchase ......that's quite cheap isn't it, doesn't sound like it will have much space available for the events related income streams that will make the difference does it ? Land purchase has got to be 6m+ in order to fit it all on assuming stadium, academy other sources of income stream

So a 12000, 14m stadium outside of Coventry makes a total of operations of £130m ....... wonder what one in Coventry with conference and exhibition halls totals?

Future proof the academy status to Cat 1 ....... that's in current figures a commitment annually of 2.5m to get that status .... how will we afford that and finance the team plus interest payments

So what do they mean by equity and loan finance exactly?

It will be interesting to see how long it takes a certain rugby team to get their training ground etc up and running and where it is. Shopping in similar markets. Will be interesting to compare their timelines will leave others to argue about whether CCC have do or will help either or not

Not just the rugby team after a training ground either. HS2 will affect Villa's...

Maybe not that sarcastic tbh.

A couple of clubs in need of a training ground could make Ryton worth something when scarpering.

apparently the loan 14.4m is payable at 5% pa interest (source filed accounts) We are told that the loan period has been shortened to 20 years. That equates to loan repayments of 1,140,396 per annum. They are currently paying 815,400 pa
Along with this reported shortening of the term it was suggested in the same report that the loan had been reduced to 13 million. How would those numbers stack up?

Seeing as the club won't own the stadium it'll be interesting to see what level of rent it has to pay and whether the rent is linked to how much interest the property company has to pay. A scenario that caused such dismay amongst some when the ACL/CCFC rent & ACL loan erpayment calculations were revealed.

I also saw in the minutes TF's dismay at crowds of 9000 when we were in the 1st Division. A little knowledge of the club's history would show that was mainly another CCFC fan's protest against the "horrors" of having an all-seater stadium rather than anything to do with the football. He should also note that a successful side a few years later managed to double that average in a stadium which barely held 20.000.

One again the disappointing thing is that SISU are just so lazy with their facts and plans. Within an hour of the publication of these minutes a Bus has been driven through their plans assumptions and reasoning, being able to source publicly available documents.

Mr Fisher when you next hand your homework in please check it

I wasn't around in the early 80s but I was under the impression that football at that time wasn't as well supported as it is now in general as well.

I think CCFC are the ones in most need of a training ground to improve their standards of play, looking at the results we can not be using it much at the moment

Completely amateur and insulting and they wonder why people are embracing a bloody franchise rugby team.

These two hedge funds are not actually in league are they ? One incenses the local populace so much they feel driven into the loving arms of the other and bingo, they have the whole shebang, the support, the stadium, the revenue streams, the train stop soon to follow, all the local business' and council onside and they're rid of the nastier football types once and for all !? The Coventry Bantam Wasps are born ?

Ah, sadly I was around in the eighties (but I've done my best to destroy most of the photographic evidence of this). And you and tisza are bang on, it's a daft comparison for Fisher to make.

What's the timing of transferring from being a franchise team to a Coventry team ?
Are they really a Hedge fund or does it put them in the same 'bad' ball park as Sisu ?
Kids are relating to Rugby, people are buying them the full outfits and with all the flag waving and razzmatazz football is being forgotten.
It just getting boring now.

Didn't Rugby council originally responded to say they had spoken with the club?

Is releasing locations of old sites we didn't get an attempt to prove something is happening or an attempt at misdirection? If we're all talking about sites that by Fishers own admission aren't going to be the new location for the FisherBowl then we aren't talking about why nothing is happening with the allegedly imminent announcement of where it actually is, assuming it exists anywhere other than Fishers imagination.

Got to be better than the day I went to Coundon Road, asked the woman if they sold replica home kits, to be asked 'what colour's that, then?'

You can kid yourself all you want, but whilst I'd absolutely stand by your right to go (and others' too) Wasps will always be a franchise team, currently based in Coventry.

Football might have been forgotten by you, and possibly the council (some of whom seem to regard the team as an awkward inconvenience there to help out Wasps with a bit of rent), but a lot of us here still care what happen to them.

Where do we go to as an alternative? We are (the Club and fans I mean) stranded - no new stadium is ever going happen (under Sisu, and realistically anyone else, unless RFC buys the Club), and there is no way Wasps are letting go of what they have unless they have to.

Indeed, we a truly doomed.

To be honest and I'm not taking the piss, but the surge in popularity and attendance has taken them a bit by surprise at the BPA again. The merchandise on offer is pretty good quality and we've bought a bit ourselves this season but they need to get up to speed quickly and stock that little store with everything blue and white whilst we're winning week after week. In the last two games, they have either ran out of scarves and mugs and in the clubhouse, out of real ale completely and I couldn't get any cheese with my burger to save my life on Saturday.

I've not forgot football yet, I still have a load of vouchers in my season ticket.

I was actually looking forward more to the Wasps match than the CCFC match this weekend.
I would say it's not just Wasps it's CRFC as well that people are relating too.

i care about CCFC and not wasps, but i dont agree they will "always" be a franchise team. I started watching Blaze recently and only just found out they were not based in Cov orignially. As time goes on, this is what will happen to Wasps fans. Coventry kids in 5 years could well be living in a city with a rugby club competing at the top of the tree and a football club in or around non league.

I will always CCFC, but you cant blame the kids if they migrate over.

When I was a kid we all played football down the local parks, they were packed at all times and that was where we gained our true love and affiliation for football and it's heroes. The kids don't do that in the same numbers these days and therefore are more open minded to what sports they would prefer to watch. I don't doubt that if Wasps succeed in the first 2 years they will be adopted by kids hungry to have a 'big' team on their doorstep.

Fair comment this. I wouldn't deny that I've been to more games at the rugby than the footy recently, but personally I'd never go to Wasps and I'd much rather people didn't. Regardless the footy club is in an awful state now, and I'm not surprised that you and others will look elsewhere.

However, I still think that there's a much larger supporter-base for the football in the city then there is for rugby, for either of the teams here now. If CCFC can somehow get to even a sniff of success, then we'll see that I'm sure.
