Rudoni to Newcastle rumours (9 Viewers)

We are a selling club, we have to be to keep us in the black. I was rather hoping it would be Wright and Simms but if the money was really that good then it will be Rudi.

It surprises me how some people fail to see this. We make a huge operational loss - half a million every month minimum. We have to sell to survive because even if DK dips into his pocket a bit, he is not a Saudi prince. There will be some notable exits this summer, there has to be.

Rudi is now our prime asset with Milan being the 2nd highest in value, i would of thought. Would be nice to keep them and add by reinvesting money from dales of the likes of Simms, Wright and BTA but if the money doesn't come in for those 3 then the club have no other option. Creating depth in quality is the aim, so if 2 of the top are sold we need 5 quality signings in across all dept.

Unless deals can be made where we as part of a transfer we can loan the player back with a reduced fee.
Wright is higher value than Milan

Good luck to him if he goes, but I think he needs another season at this level. If he does go, I'm confident King will spend the money and the recruitment team will manage to find decent options. If bringing in 20-30mill allows us to bring in 4 first team starters with potential for better things and a few development players it's an absolute no brainer.

Rudoni is a very promising player but he's not there yet. He improved massively from about six months on with us when before that he would fail to affect games and would disappear for long periods.
With Lampard as his mentor he is beginning to find a way to more positively influence games but until he can do it consistently I can't see any club making offers such as those being bandied about.
It's very exciting for us to have a player with such boundless potential on our books but I don't expect to see him going anywhere for the time being.

Its not that straightforward, Rudi is one man on one wage, when you look at spending any profit made on a player you have to calculate the overall costs, particularly wages, taxes, Insurance etc that you would be signing up to.

nah i reckon he will be here another year unless it’s silly money.

he’s learning directly from frank lampard and he’s had the (half) season of his life in a club competing at top of the table. Imagine what he will be like after another season especially if we start of firing on all cylinders
Exactly this. The only reason we sold Hamer was because we'd of lost him on a free had we not. We're not in that position with Rudoni. He still has 3 years left. If we don't go up next season then I fully expect to lose him but not this summer. Unless it is something silly like £30m+ then we'd be silly to turn it down. I think especially a premier league club. He's not ready yet for the prem so I'd push for a season long loan as part of the deal. Win-win, make money to spend elsewhere, share part of his wages AND keep him for another season.

You’ve got to give Rudi another season under Lampard. Every chance he kicks on again and adds another ten mil to his valuation. He clearly likes it under Lampard so can’t see him pushing it. If someone offers silly money then that’s a conversation but I can’t see anyone pushing the sums we’d need off half a season of form.
