Whilst he did come down to applaud the magnificent away fans yesterday he didn't hang around and was 1st off the pitch by a long way
Didn't look happy as he trudged off
Signs he may be off?

I think he’ll go, Robins will be recruiting better CBs at least one I’d think.

Don’t mind Rose and I imagine we extend his contract, but McNally has shown what is possible when you play someone with actual consistency in his position. I’m not sure Rose is ever going to be the long-term first choice solution if we’re going to progress.

Missed an opportunity to step up when Fadz was injured and be a leader at the back. Always had ability but just not really kicked on as I expected. Maybe injuries have stifled his progress a bit but hasn’t nailed down starting position when given the chance

Was unlucky in that he was playing his best football for a long time before he got injured and with the form of the three at present he doesn't get in. Would have replaced Panzo I think after his couple of nightmare games had he been ready, but now must wait for his chance.

I actually think Rose has played well the majority of the games he’s played over the last year or so (was horrendous first year of champ). Wasn’t that long ago that there was talk of fairly decent money for him.

If he’s happy to be 4th / 5th choice then I don’t think we’d get much better squad players for the money but if he’s disgruntled then let him move on.

I'd be happy to offer him a deal as backup, though I guess he wouldn't agree to that, but we need better starters to progress. Mcnally is miles better than him.

I think if Rose wants to stay he will get that option, but he will have to fight for a place if the group are kept together

Rose at 28 had his chance to come in and win the shirt. He also had the opportunity to say this defence is mine!

He doesnt talk, he doesnt boss. McNally and Doyle have embarrassed him. He is a squad player and not a leader. In his position you need leaders.

He's talented but doesn't have the right attitude to be a centre back in this lead. Not a leader at all and doesnt throw his body on the line. Don't want him offered a new contract

A year ago I'd written Rose off as too inconsistent but think he's been really good this season. Would be happy if he stayed as a backup.

Don't think there's anything to this. If you see the City Unseen video out today, Rose is actually the first to go to the Cov fans. And he probably isn't happy that he's not getting more game time. But I don't think many players would be happy sitting on the bench when the team is playing so well..... okay, we've had a few over the years :) But Rosey isn't one of them. He'll get his chance to stake a claim again and he'll be all smiles.

Besides, Wilson is smiling enough for the entire squad. Guy looks to be an absolute nutter :)

McNally
He had been out injured a couple of weeks back, not sure if he’s back now but out of favour?
I like Panzo seemed to suffer a bit with McFadz absent but he was carrying an injury too, I think there’s a player there.

Where is panzo
Seems he’s fallen down the pecking order after that injury ( and in MR’s favour after the horror show against Wrexham), and to be honest, without Fadz alongside him he looked pretty ropey at best.

Barring another injury in defence, we may have seen the last of him in a Sky Blue shirt, logically speaking.

As for Rose, he’s an ‘almost’ centre back; has ability, but loses confidence so easily, and like so many have stated, he’s never stepped up and made the impression he should have. If we secure McNally in the summer, and another LCB for Doyle, he may be forced to move on.

No player should be happy if their not in the first team they just have to nuckle down and show in training you are the player for your position when next there is an injury because he sure ain't going to get in at the moment with the form of the 2 Mc's and Doyle.

Rose had a great opportunity to win the shirt with McFadz injured. He came up short.

McNally did what Rose should have done.

Been a big fan of Rose in L1, but he just hasn’t kicked on how you’d hope since promotion. Some of that is definitely game time, but not all of it. I’d keep him around as a squad player but if he’s throwing a fit I’d let go and take a gamble on the next Rose TBH.

Whilst technically Rose is good, and he has an eye for a pass, he's not aggressive enough and is prone to lapses in concentration. Would prefer we bring through George Burroughs, and that St Albans City lad we signed as back ups next season. We need 3 CBs in the summer (hopefully McInally & Panzo on perms) and one other.

That was just before Fadz returned.

He played every game bar one that McFadzean was out for.

So in other words as McFazdean is exceptional for our formation you cannot really compare him to others who are now playing with him really

He's done better than many of the players we came up with tbf. When you consider who has stepped up better... O'Hare definitely, Fadz definitely, Godden yes but he's hot and cold... that's about it really isn't it.
