They will probably go for that yank who managed Leeds. Can see that failing and them going down, hopefully.

I wonder if this was one of the reasons for getting rid of Rooney, securing Cooper before he goes elsewhere.

Sky denied it yesterday - but have covered today saying he's favourite for the job. Lots of Blues accounts on twitter saying he's favourite and will take it, but wants funds for this window - they are looking at cashing in on that young Welsh lad - Atalanta - 5-7 mill - to allow that to happen.
Rumour that Jesse Marsch has been interviewed and is next in line if Cooper doesn't take it. (Cooper was also rumoured to be a shoe-in for the Palace job if Woy goes at end of season - so also Blues talk of a "caretaker type role" until summer to see if Cooper becomes available then - that was early talk before things became a little more pointed towards SC in the immediate future)
