Now that is a bit of a stretch. Just can't see England winning the even if they took the remaining 4 Australian wickets in the next 2 overs. Where are you based ?

I don’t know much about Esse but glad this is one that really excites the fans. What is the thing that is most exciting about him that attracted Crystal Palace to pay £12-14m?

His numbers at Millwall weren’t exactly shining, 6 goals and no assists in 50 appearances

Its a good signing that will fit what we do when we are playing well. He is a young player that is full of pace and attacking intent. Strong runner, i suppose a bit raw yet for prem but get him confident and he is a handful, especially with EMC on the other side

I think they will go for the Palace manager during the summer when he's out of contract. Although they may want a bigger name whose won major honours although can't think of many managers of that calibre available. Russel Slade perhaps .

From what I’ve read was very raw when Palace signed him and still is. Lots of tricks, less end product. Got bombed out of Palace twice for not following instructions on the pitch. Agree his record isn’t great. Well be hoping he’s developed at Palace I guess. They don’t think he’s pl quality over there more mid championship and expect him to go for £6m or so in the summer. Hopefully he’s just not fit in an we can make him feel at home.

Hopefully it’s a player coming with a point to prove and working with the bloke who gave him his breakthrough helps him do that.

Palace obviously rate him higher than Rak-Sakyi, as does the football world in general i think and many posters were fapping at that prospect. I think Esse will be really good here.

Yeah Palace fans have got an even lower opinion of JRS lol.

I think he’s good and needs an arm around him. I think we’re a good fit. But he was yet to really have a breakout season as a pro before he went.

Ultimately we aren’t a PL team so don’t need PL players yet. Sounds like a decent championship winger which is exactly what we need.

This is a good watch. Proper analysis into the style and type of player he is. Interestingly his stats showed him as the 2nd most progressive player in the Championship before he went to o Palace.

Is he really any better than what weve already got?

If not hes just a bench warmer offering a bit of cover.

Cover that we havnt had up to now, which is good, but I think people are putting way too much expectation on a 20 year old kid.

Hope to see a couple more arrivals soon, with a bit of experience.

Sakamoto has been so poor since the start of December, Esse will definitely start games and he's already shown he's capable of being a high-upside starter in this league.

That’s the issue, we don’t have anything bar saka!! So yes he’s well received.

look at his Millwall data more so, will be used in similar style, left footed playing off right. Good option to switch up on right hand side.

This person is saying that Esse can potentially play CAM as well as on the left so we could potentially also be looking at Rak-Sakyi maybe???

If you negotiate all your transfers with one club it makes it easier I suppose. Especially on the ski slopes where signal is limited.

At the moment he needs to regroup and get his form back. We have been flogging him to death and he has lost his sparkle

He's not been great for a while but it's glaringly obvious that we need to be able to rest and rotate players.

There’s been about 2.5k minutes of football, Saka has played just over 1500. That’s 1k minutes someone else needed to play. That will only increase as the season goes on.

Yep, like many he's been run into the ground and has looked noticeably poorer recently. It's almost like we treated the season as a sprint to Jan and then call for reinforcements from a good position. I think despite the hysteria its a pretty good plan, as long as we actually get said reinforcements.

Saka hasn't had a goal contribution since November 22. If we had any sort of depth he would've been benched weeks ago.
