Question is, will Romain and YMH be allowed to play in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Would presume so, they're out of the picture at Spurs and Palace, so doubt their parent clubs are too concerned with them being Cup tied.

Contrary to some of the experts on here, we have obviously been pretty proactive in getting ready for the transfer window.

Seems like a decent signing. Hopefully there's a few more still to come.

I doubt they'll play against Spurs or Palace , other than that it's fair game. Should we get through that is.

Bit brave of him to be out and about in short sleaves, absolutely Baltic in Cov today.

Honestly better than I thought we'd be bringing in. Can't get a much better player than him at this level.

Esse was described by Bloom & Co. as one of the two best signees it's possible to get for the Championship in the January Window - the other being Piroe. But I can't see use getting Piroe now, with Yang and Esse in the bag??

Could do. Seemingly Lampard was interested in Bamford so another striker isn't off the cards.

Starter for 10, who was the last player to join us having already won the FA Cup (as opposed to winning it after leaving us)?

Was that more just to get an attacker in outside the window though ? Wouldve allowed him to shift Wright to left to cover EMC if needs be

Also since Bamford signed for Sheff Utd Simms has scored 7 in 8 or 9 starts

Yeah, Joe Cole as far as I can see. Strachan won it in 85, Wise with The Wombles and then Chelsea (also runner up as player manager for Millwall).

Don't think Oggy did, no sub gks in domestic games in those days (think he may have European Cup medals), plus Liverpool were strangely bad in the FA Cup late 70s/80s- no wins between 74 & 86.

Sansom only won the league cup with Arsenal.

Glad Doug has seen the value in loans. Makes most sense at this point with our position. Based on past performances a good signing at this level, but need him to reach that level.

Esse would have been on the bench for last seasons FA cup win. He would have got a winners medal. Does that count?

So with 2 new wingers on board, and BTA to return from injury in a week or two, and suddenly our squad looks more than healthy.

The competition for places should really ramp up now, and that has to be good for results.

Though to be fair our recent problems have been at the back haven't they? We scored twice against Ipswich and Birmingham so really should have won both games??
