More like Latchford and Withey
Exactly as I’ve seen it from the numerous replays. Could be wrong as the angle isn’t great, but pretty sure it hits the keeper and bounces off Hiwula’s knee.
Lucky rebound/deft flick.
Delete as applicable.
I'm waiting for you to claim it touched Chaplin
That's what she said
I've watched it a few times and I think Hiwulas chipped it into Lonergans face.
I'm waiting for Chaplin to claim it first.
So many people moan about our strikers not scoring goals and when two much maligned strikers combine to score all people can do is try to prove it was lucky.
All strikers have lucky bounces or deflections.
You can't miss chances or get "lucky" goals unless you get into scoring positions
Was a good goal. Who said it was lucky?
For me he showed great anticipation to get onto Baka flick on good pace to stay in front their defender and I think showed good composure to chip the keeper even though execution wasn’t great. Did all the right things. Can’t knock it.
The keeper seems to get a hand on it and that slows it down I think.
Yes he does. But it’s a goal. So well done Jordy Hiwula.
Oh yeah, not criticising, but you can see why some said it was a scrappy goal.
It was a very good finish actually dinking it over the keeper (admittedly after he'd nearly overrun the ball).
Just noticed at the end Meyler was on the pitch going round each player. Seems committed for a loanee.
Exactly what we need though with no Doyle.
I wish people would recognise more that this is a young team; on average younger than the team of kids relegated from this league 2 years ago.
so what? doesnt make it a lucky finish, it was on target and hit well enough the keeper couldnt stop it going in
Please don’t make excuses for them halfwits who took us down. Whoever/whatever their age they were all a disgrace apart from DKE who at least tried.
Bakayako wasn't offside once in 95 mins.
I think you’ve missed the point.
How does it make excuses for them? If anything it gives the current team deserved credit for looking far more comfortable despite being younger.
Sorry squire-yes that was my point. The team currently is younger than the dross that went down and is currently holding their own in the middle of this league.
People were quite happy to use the “ young kids” excuse when in reality they were just pants! (Not aimed at you by the way)
No wonder they went down - the team, not the pants
hit it at the keepers head, makes it harder for him to stop the ball, can't get his hands to it.....................that's what was said on EFL highlights about another goal at the weekend.
Who gives a fuck, it went in, we won end of. PUSB
Yep, I’m afraid it was the brown y-fronts with the white hem based on some of the performances that season!
Not what I said at all.
I am saying I think it was a deft chip, but that the keeper getting his hand on it makes some people on here believe it was a scrappy effort.
must win game as we have a formidable luton the week after. keep the season alive boys week by week!
