Stoke have sacked their manager after just 3 months. Would suit Robins ?

Another job he’s heavily linked with and won’t get! But some thought he was going to get the Wolves or Southampton.

When are people going to realise he hasn’t got a coaching team to go into a club with. He’s not daft he will know now more than ever he needs an Adi type with him.

Think he will use the rest of the season to get himself sorted and have a well deserved rest then I’d expect him at a bigger league 1 club.

I was thinking more of a club who’s fans have been starved of success, had to endure shocking football for a very long period of time and with a rich owner who will invest if she thinks he’s the right man.

If hes looking to get back into football now I'd think he's a good chance of landing this job.

He'll need to hit the ground running though, they go through a fair few managers.

I don't think he'll get a Championship job. I think the best he can hope for is a top end League One team, but wherever he goes I'll be hoping he's successful. Ok, maybe not Leicester.
Wow. What a strange take.

I think Robins had ran out of energy at our club but he’s clearly a championship level manager, if he has the right assistant.

I never said he wasn't, but that doesn't automatically give you a Championship level job. Happy to be proved wrong as he's an absolute legend but I think he'll get a job from a top 6 League One team in his next role. Nothing strange about that.

Can't see it myself. The first time he left us was to go to a side that doesn't give their managers time to turn things around. They sacked him before he had much of a chance to change things. Why bother when you're already being paid for doing nothing.

Robins also hasn't had the constant extra holidays all other managers have had. I think he will take a long break to recharge the batteries then take on another club to turn around.

FFS. Don’t imagine champagne Frank would have fancied us when we were bottom of League One.
I am talking about Robins' media interviews. 😂 Nothing to do with the quality of football on his part. I am talking about his demeanor

And Stoke, so many times in the past, have been like Sheffield Utd, and played very dour football.

So, dour delivery in interviews, vs dour football from Stoke.

Tbh I agree that a job with a L1 club who need another push would be better suited to him than a rotting second tier club.

Said it ages ago as well.

Basket case of a club he should avoid. They also turned him down before and he's quite stubborn so I'd be surprised, but it is football and strange things happen all the time.

Yeah, imagine being interested in the next appointment of someone who was here 7 years and brought some amazing times to all of us. You do know that it's not compulsory to read the posts, I assume?
Honestly people are very strange

I don't think Robins would fancy working under a director of football, especially one as useless as Walters, however if they give Walters the boot as well (which he surely deserves) , then I think Stoke would suit Robins very well.

Is this a Coventry or Robins forum, I sometimes wonder.

He was our manager for the last 8 years. The notion there shouldn't be threads about his departure and his future is a weird take.

We've got an ex player watch thread where the performances of players who were here for 5 minutes years ago are discussed.
