Well, it seems that we at least tried to get him. If he wants to leave then that's fair enough, not much we can do about that. His loan spell has been mutually beneficial.
It's not over yet...he could well re-sign for us
I agree. He may very well decide to stay (if possible) until the end of the season. He's on fire here; he's hit on the right combination, etc That may not happen anywhere else. Let's hope he things with his football brain rather than with his wallet. However, whatever he decides I'll still be thankful for his goals and he should be thankful to Coventry City for getting his career back on track. No one wanted him three months ago.

Sour grapes?
If he doesn't stay, I want him to do shit and get relegated with his champ team, whilst (hopefully) we get promoted. I will be thankful, but I'd like to him to regret leaving CCFC. Sour grapes?
That's completely unnecessary we should only want him to succeed where ever he goes he has done a fantastic job an is a mile above league 1. If he decide's to leave that's his choice we're not exactly in good shape he might come here then we go bust.
Probably but fair enough. I'd have more time for him than say Westwood who doesn't actually play football anymore.
I see your point, but that's football, we want him to be the best he can be at CCFC, but another team, I hope he does shit. I don't want him him to do well if he goes, but I'll always have him in high regard because of his time here.
Joy should offer her services,he'd score with her too
Do you also feel that way about keogh?
DMG quote " I hear what the fans are singing and I have not felt so loved in a long time but you dont always get what you want" I think you should be able to read between that...Starting to do my head in now why not just come out and say either yes I'm staying or no I'm going just wish DMG would stop talking in riddles
Big difference here. We cashed in on him with 1 year of his contract to go.
Not really that much of a difference their both players to good for league 1 and don't want to sign for us (looks like this with goldie) they both wanted to be at bigger clubs.
he went wolves 1st.Remember the Chris Marsden Saga,we had him on loan, but didn't pull out all the stops to get him full time,in the end he joined Southampton and made the England Squad. So if we really want Goldie we should do all we can and more to keep him.

Yeah, same for any player who leaves Coventry City.
Also, assuming we get promoted, we could be playing McG, and if is doing well and rips us apart... We'll all feel shit, I'm not going lie, We should want to be able to rub it in his face when we're doing better than his new club. I would've felt great jeering Clingan, when beating is team 4-1!? If we get promoted and Donny don't, he'll be a laughing stock and a curse!
If a player does well for us and don't take the piss I applaud them in the future. If a player takes the piss they might get abuse off me.....Fat Freddie for instance.
It works both ways. Some ex players take the piss when scoring. Some don't even celebrate.
Why should you hope a player fails in the future after giving their all for our club?
