Ok explain them why some supporters on here thought McCarthy may come here and some said they wouldn't touch him when he was ALWAYS too big for us?
Answer is fans are always believing their club is the best. You know why Doncaster fans thought they could get him? Probably because he has a northern accent and they are higher in the league. The only way they are likely to see how skint we are is by looking at negative observations from people like you.
A combination of the most people were betting on him and the bookies thought it was a realistic option.
Which supports what I have said previously.
Doncaster people may not be as thick as you seem to think they are.
Maybe they are aware of other clubs finances like some of us are.
Or maybe they just watch sky sports, read the Daily Mail or read the Guardian.
Can't you not really understand the concept that as far as the national media are concerned we are a club in financial trouble.
Can you then honestly not understand when a club are in financial trouble. Other fans will think they have so and so we could nick him.

No it's easy for a rationale person to understand. It's just my replies are bollocks, as I don't like it when I am wrong
Shoot me down by all means, but led to believe from a reliable source(yes i know everybody says the same!) that ACL/SISU have done a deal on the Ricoh, no idea what it is but announcement next week apparently. Lets see if my contact is as well connected as he thinks!

I find it interesting that someone comes up with a rumour that the deal is done and people immediately assume that ACL have caved in to SISU's demands
The only reason as far as I can see that a deal may be in the offing is if something significant has changed for ACL. SISU's position I feel will not have changed.
Now it might be that ACL have reached a crisis point and had to cave in accept what SISU says,which appears to be less than £200k for everything (not just the rent). I would guess this is too little for ACL. It would still leave ACL in crisis. I can hear the "so what I only care about the club", thats your opinion but the Ricoh is much more than a football team. So ask would the directors of ACL breach their duties and agree to something they can not afford ? It also points to what is going on as far as SISU are concerned.
Or perhaps there might be something significant that is going on for ACL that secures their position financially. In which case, given the additional income that CCFC have received from cup runs etc, ACL might be in a position where they say enough is enough. They might be in a position where they draw a line say the last offer is all that is on offer take it or leave it. If SISU then choose to leave it then they place the club at risk - it is a mute point as to who really puts the club in a winding up position, I know how it will be spun but think about it.
Do not assume that there is only one outcome in that SISU wins the battle ...... things are rarely that clear and straight forward
Personally I think the last cards are being played but no deal has been struck yet. Any deal that is I seriously doubt will be lower than the one that ACL have put on the table. Guess we wait and see but the solution to this happens because something changes at ACL. As I and others here have said on this and other matters be careful what you wish for

Thick Bradford fans think we are in a financial mess as well
Coventry City boss Mark Robins is hoping to be able to make a January transfer swoop for versatile Bradford man Nathan Doyle.
Coventry are in a bit of a financial crisis at the moment but if funds become available then Doyle is the number one target for Mark Robins.
Robins bought Doyle for Barnsley when he was manager at Oakwell and rates him very highly. He is hoping the lure of the league above will be enough to persuade Doyle to jump ship and link up with his old boss.
In my opinion Doyle would be crazy to leave Bradford for Coventry. We have a fantastic League Cup semi-final clash with Aston Villa coming up and hopefully a strong promotion challenge.
At Coventry it would either be mid table in League One with nothing to play for or a relegation scrap if they end up in administration.
It`s a no brainer to me.

Hopefully your contact is 'on the money', but it wouldn't surprise me, I should've been 'done and dusted' beforehand.
If it's a better deal than ACL's last, these renegade tactics would've been worth it and I would've been proved right in saying, we were right to reject the last offer.

I have to say the moment I saw this on Facebook a few weeks back it fooked me off because (a) The guy has no brain obviously, (b) Has a biased opinion based on the club he supports, (c) Is living in a fantasy world and (d) I would love to see his reaction when quoting his words "mid table side in league one with nothing to play for" smash Bradford over two legs in the JPT area final.. Should they get there..
But after my rant regarding the thread itself I hope something does get sorted it's best for all the parties this can help us kick on in the future..

It's a shame the announcement isn't announcing the 2 parties have come to an agreement, I don't understand why your post's tone is that you're happy an agreement hasn't been made as you're somewhat mocking my post. Or have I misjudged.
The deal I was referring to hasn't been done yet so no one is 'right or wrong' yet.

I agree we won't. However as this farce drags on.
That is what the national media talk about. They did it in the build up to the Spurs game and the JPT.
They don't fully understand it all and give out the impression we are skint and about to go bust.
Hence Robins doing well at such a self imploding skint club will attract attention.
Sort the rent we go back to sleeping giant status at this level.
People will only talk about us for our football.
