You have, tony.

I just mean don't go and pay to Wasps play. Just stating I never buy anything at the Ricoh anyway as a side note. Never have.

OK. I thought you were on a crusade to bankrupt Wasps by not buying a mars bar when at a cov game. I knew you were more sensible than that, that's why I questioned it. Didn't add up but clearly that was my error.

I'm totally on board with boycotting Wasps games as a CCFC fan. I've already turned down the opportunity twice even though on one occasion it was a spare ticket that Wasps already had the money for. It's the same principle that stopped me going to Sixfields.

I have to say though that if my favourite band rocked up and did a show at the Ricoh I would go.

Nothing wrong with Soft Cell. Did some good songs. Although I'm more of a punk, metal, grunge and indie man myself. In fact I'm open to most music truth be known. Except Marillion, a poor man's prog rock band at best or a bunch of Pink Floyd wanabees if I'm being nice.

Strange, anybody would think you didn't used to come on here having breakdowns about giving up every couple of days?

Who is worried? They are discussing it.

Discussing means putting over your case, perhaps refining it and certainly trying to influence somebody to make positive changes.

Saying Wasps, Rugby and anyone who goes is crap over and over again might make you feel better but it's futile.

If everyone in Coventry boycotted wasps games do you think they would be financially viable?

But to be fair most people say dont go to watch Wasps, and starve them of cash, not they are crap, they are crap, they are crap. You just seem to overlook that idea.

Pretty sure it would have been more than LAST and BHSB though. I was out delivering around London that day so had no chance but if I'd been working from the office in Rugby they'd have been one more.

Thing is we get posters on here that have an excuse for anything that was planned.
But those same posters then slag off anyone who cannot or doesn't go to City games.
Just a load of hypocrites trying to divert the way they feel about themselves.

That is why I am content with my life☺

Not sure I can agree with this.

tbf to BHSB, and whatever his bizarre outbursts earlier(!) pretty sure he doesn't support the Wasps move. He did after all protest outside the council house about the decision to sell to them.

I'm also going to be fair and say that after a dodgy start (in the whole thing, in general, not meant to imply anything here, just all was fraught all over the place!), most up there didn't have a go at those going in to the ground. I think that deserves saying as sometimes it gets lost. Being consistent it would be unfair to then have a go at those who've watched Wasps - free country and all that.

With that out the way, it is indeed true however that Wasps have spun a certain line which is, to put it bluntly, as absolute bollocks as anything our owners have come up with. It has the same inevitability about it that it did when our owners rode into town with forked tongues...

That said, admittedly, I can't even remember what this fucking thread was about in the first place, and it does feel like we've been here before. The more Italiahorse spouts his bollocks about getting over it and it's all done, the more I'm prone to decide otherwise however...

That's the problem when people work, innit. The cynical part of me suggests the meeting was moved for that very reason...

Spouting bollox?
Look everyone has their opinion, but we keep getting the same posters turning the threads on here clearly so they can attack other City supporters.

They need to get a life and just enjoy watching the team while we are still playing well.
After all Xmas is not that far away

What is to say people can't enjoy watching the team and discuss things? Why is it that if we win people can't be enjoying it?

Which other supporters are being attacked? Why didn't you defend the people going to Sixfields with some of the venom that went their way for watching their team but people aren't allowed to comment when people don't go?

And if everyone had boycotted Sixfields would they have stayed as long as they did?
Might have even put them in a better position to buy the Ricoh if they had gone back?

Funny I didn't see you defend me last week when I was accused of threatening people by Sick boy.
Then again I am not suppressed after all he is a captain in your team.

Re Ricoh train...old underground carriages? They used to have some in the scrapyard next to Rotherhams ground. Probably recycled into wate paper bins by now lol

Re The Hill squabble. I went on the hill and always said if people chose to go in the ground (even if I didn't think it was the right decision) they had the right to make that choice. Regarding threats and abuse, from what I saw there was a small minority on both sides that liked to give it out.

Re Wasps, I joined their forum and was prepared to support their objections to being moved, but any objections never got off the ground and seemed very short lived, most seemed to accept the move.

Re supporting Wasps, I would never go as I support Coventry Rugby. I have noticed lots of Coventry City fans at the Butts. I don't know any Coventry City fans who are following Wasps. The ones going to Wasps games are people who never went up the city and most don't like football as they describe themselves as Rugby fans.

There are quite a few City fans that go to watch Wasps lad who sits next to us and his mates season ticket holders for both. Saying that there a quite a few regulars at the Butts who also go to Wasps games

Correct me if I am wrong but anyone who is using the car park at the new Bermuda Park train station will now be required to do a 3 point turn. Too funny.

Dont panic I can't imagine anybody will park there it's just a vanity project and a way to move public money into private companies bank accounts.

The planning department here are totally useless and allow pretty much anything to happen like building on green belt land.

I don't know what's going on over there but it looks like Bermuda Park station cant open until this planning application has been amended. I guess they would want to open both stations in a fanfare etc. Apparently there is also talk of an extra class 153 usually sitting around over the weekend in the area which could open up Arena Park but its all to do about the money.

I hope its the Pamela Anderson. I know one of them is named after her

That's certainly what was being reported back in the Autumn, Dave. No plans to bring back Jimmy Hill's Sky Blue Specials! Maybe the Council weren't banking on us surviving ...!

Hate to be the bearer of the truth but no council is to blame whether that be CCC or N&BBC. Both councils have done what they're supposed to have done it's the electrification of the line that's been the issue, or rather lack of. That's down to central government. It's them who have failed to deliver or more accurately failed to make sure that what was supposed to be delivered as line upgrades has happened. A whole section going all the way to Warwick I believe was supposed to have been electrified and this upgrade also included new stations at Bermuda and the Ricoh. Both N&BBC and CCC have kept up their ends of the bargain it's other parties that have stopped the project being completed.

Lucas and co have been shouting about how great it will be for Wasps and CCFC for fans to be able to get the train to matches yet the council run SAG have said the station has to be closed on matchdays.

London Midland have clearly stated that their position hasn't changed from day one and the council have been aware of the limitations.

So the argument is we shouldn't have built the station at all until the improvements in 2017 are done? Would we still have got funding?

Are the CCC and N&BBC responsible for the rolling stock, operating the rail service and electrification of the line?

An SAG is actually made up of several bodies including the emergency services. Again are they responsible for rolling stock, operating the rail service and electrification of the line?

Not sure what point you're making here.
