Feel bad for Jodi Jones, but I guess he couldn’t be guaranteed much game time with incoming players etc. Hope he finds himself a move. He should do ok in. League one

I had quite high hopes for Pask early on but he never really got going, Jones would have been in the team more this season when available if he was likely to be kept on so it's the right move for both parties. Hopefully the bad luck's behind him and he actually gets to play football for whoever he joins now

Jody Jones will shine in league 1 - Seen some of the dross on tv lately and he will have a good career if he stays injury free

Sad about Jones but think it is the right decision. Been here for a long time, had the most ill fortune with Injuries but has worked so hard to get back fit for a 3rd time after many had wrote him off. His passion for us and workrate can't be questioned.

Wish him absolutely nothing but the best and hope he gets a good move!

I would of given JJ another year, as we are not blessed with players in the positions he can play, can only assume Robins has some players lined up. He's a great player, and may rise up again if he can stay injury free. His lack of game time was telling I guess

Can someone example this to me? does it mean we could have him for another season if the move doesnt go ahead? or have the club activated a year option on the contract so we could get a transfer fee rather than letting go on a free?

" A one-year option has been taken by Coventry City in Jordan Shipley’s contract. The Sky Blues have accepted a bid from a Club for the 24-year-old, and will update supporters in due course. "

Both, if the Shrewsbury move doesn't go ahead for whatever reason he will be our player for another season. He's said to want the move though, so it will 99% certainly go through and we'll get a fee. I dare say the fee will be minimal, however there may be sell-on clauses etc

Bit of a boring list but most of the 'deadwood' we'll be trying to ship out are under contract.

Slightly depressing thought we might have to watch Walker and Waghorn attempting to be strikers again next season. Hopefully a miracle will occur and both will be moved out before then

A good sign that our squad is strong. Needs additions obviously.. Robins has already said 3 are on their way.

The retained list is s complete red herring. It’s simply a reflection of players coming to the end of their contract. There will be many more in contract players that the club look to move on. I suspect that Shipley, Kelly, Walker, Waghorn, Da Costa, Hilsner, are all available if the right deal comes along

To be fair it's not just released players or departing loans that are detailed, as you'll sometimes see clubs state on their retained lists which players they've transfer listed as well.
