Talking about players from relegated teams, was anyone surprised none of the teams that came up from League 1 last season went down this season? Not sure how often that's happened. Usually 1-2 promoted teams from League 1 go straight back down.

Yea good to see really, and tbh Portsmouth and Derby are big clubs with good fans, pleased they stayed up

Also pleased Oxford beat the odds

Yeah, that's decent but even with him available on a free I'd expect us to look for better than him if we're in this league and serious about improving the squad.

If he had a return like that and was 23-24 you could justify it. Not at 28 really. That said, I wouldn’t be averse to a decent striker of about that age but we’re talking a step up in quality from Bundu.

Who said hes on the bench each week. If our striker needs resting we can play Haji upfront and Bundu on the wing.

This isn't Fifa where you can start the same XI every week, its chopped and changed as we have seen this season.
What about EMC?

What I’m saying is he will want to go somewhere and be star man.

Jamie Allen will have something to say about it as well 😂

I liked Isiah Jones when he was at Boro. Not set the world alight at Luton, but to rotate/push Tats would be a decent option I think.

Yeh tbh I think Luton players would be hard to get anyway, the ones they don't want to leave that is. There's only 3 or 4 I'd even look at but I bet they are on decent money and Luton won't really need to sell as they'll still be receiving parachute payments.
As for Cardiff I've already said..
Salech
Robertson

Plymouth
Bundu on a free
Ukraine CB who's name I cba to attempt.

That's it really. I'd be happy happy with any of those, assuming we're still a Championship club that is.
Luton won't get a Parachute payment next year as it's removed if you are relegated twice on the trot. They will get a % of the championship TV money instead I think but it is significantly less than the parachute payment from the Prem.

I assumed they would get the full value and be super strong in L1. That must be really worrying for them as to attract players to a relegation scrap, not to mention having rewarded those who got them to the promised land, they are likely to be saddles with average players on big salaries that could crucify them. Players can be moved on, but if they're not on pay parity then I assume a lot would sit it out.

A number of articles I've just seen online all allude to the fact that they will still receive parachute payments. Does anyone have clear rules they can quote either way?

I've seen that little screen shotted piece of information on the rules that presumably you have seen too, however i've not seen anything else on it and am not 100% sure its true. Hilarious if it is though.

McGuinness & Plymouth CB's looked good in a low block - but unsure if they'd suit our high-line? We need a quick CB

If we're playing Wright at ST next year then Bundu to rotate with EMC would be good

Gyabi looked good - although is a Leeds player (in the last year of his contract)

We'll almost certainly bring in another keeper.
If we don't go up I think Collins will be going and a better replacement will come in for Wilson, meanwhile maybe Bell will be able to step up. If we do go up I believe we will definitely sign an experienced Premiership standard keeper.

Sod's law that I now can't find the article I initially read it in. I've googled it and nothing that comes up suggests this is the case. Folks, apologies if my comment proves to be unfounded. I only remembered reading about it because I thought it quite amusing.
