I think in this kind of scenario both manager and player have to be professional now.

Robins is stuck with Reid and Reid is stuck with Robins.

Robins needs to do what it takes to get us promoted. If Reid proves he is worthy of some game time to aid that then so be it.

Reid needs to work hard in the reserves and put himself in contention. At the moment he can't walk into our team.

Maybe, just maybe, he IS sincere.

I have been very critical of him, but if he does want to pull his socks up and try his best for the team and applies himself properly then I am sure we'd all be happy.

Maybe we are all being too judgemental of Kyel Reid, He may be a very nice gentleman and things just havnt gone his way.

I frankly will support MR on whatever he decides. So its a bit early to be jumping to any conclusions.

I am still on the fence IF and its a big IF he comes back into the team and we see the player that played in the final then maybe he may win a few over but mostly all I ever seen from him was a player that fell over a lot, gave the ball away a lot and didn't contribute nearly as much as you would want from a 'winger' type player he was more miss than hit and when he was on loan at Colchester they wasn't exactly falling over themselves to re sign him all they done was criticise his behaviour...I think that says it all

Also at all the clubs Reid has been at only Bradford and Charlton are the only clubs not to loan him out, maybe that was to develop him or maybe because he is a bad apple

I think some people would cut off their nose to spite their face. If Robins thinks he will improve the team or the squad by Picked then I wouldn’t have any objection to that. The club are paying his wages so might as well get some benefit from him. He would certainly want to put himself in the shop window for the summer. It might be said he is doing this for himself. However if he is playing well it can’t help but improve the team’s chances. Imagine if he was the difference between getting promotion or missing out? I would think that Robins will only play him if he thinks he will increase our chances of winning. If he doesn’t think this then Reid won’t play. I would be happy to go along with Robins’ decision.

If he comes out and 'does the business' and battles keeps his head down and contributes then he has my vote

Nail on the head, I don't even think he can walk onto the bench. He must earn his place, there are currently Shipley, Barratt, McGuire-drew, DKE, Vincenti, Haynes and even bayliss ahead of him for a wide midfield role.

I suspect Reid is a very worried man right now, age 30 and potentially on the scrap heap. He obviously thinks (or thought) clubs would fall over themselves to get his signature, now realisation is setting in. Last chance saloon doesn't begin to describe his current situation. If he ever plays for us again I think we would get some checkatrade type performances out of him, could be a great impact sub if we end up in the playoffs.

Very sensible
I saw most games last season. In the games under TM in the early part of the season Reid was brave in the face of repeated fouling and intimidation in some games but seemed to go missing in others. We then had a chaotic period when TM left and the next two managers made wholesale changes.
Once Robins came in he had a plan which led to us winning at Wembley but it was too late to turn things round in the League
Reid did well at Wembley
I watched the DVD recently and was reminded how often he took pressure off us by carrying the ball forward and drawing fouls or panicky clearances for throw-ins when Oxford were on top
Unfortunately things went wrong in pre-season this year and Reid did himself no favours
Robins hasn't been wrong about much so far and I back him in whatever he decides to do now

I suspect Robins will keep him hungry

Odd. Why risk playing Haynes if Stokes is injured?

Maybe it's not so bad after all. Don't think we would risk Haynes getting injured if Stokes was definitely out.

I presume playing Haynes for match fitness. Not played many 1st team games. Same for Beavon.

Weird the Addai playing when he just been sent on loan to Hendon......

Addai has been called back from his loan.
Beavon plays most under 23s I believe. Him and Ponticelli are both pretty prolific

After Barrett's performance, I'd have myself on the left wing over him.

Have you any more information? Type of goals etc?

Nothing on Clarke-Harris’ goal.

On the second goal;

Kyle Reid met a looping cross at the far post and smashed a first-time effort in off the underside of the bar to draw the sides level.

Whats the odds on Kyel Reid playing against Colchester! makes sense.

I also think the boys are going o be well up for this game, especially as Stevenson will be playing against them.

Should be mouth watering clash!

I’d get Reid in the squad Saturday instead of Beavon you can hardly bring Beavon in when you are chasing a game he gets a goal every three years (waiting for the he works hard brigade)
