Lewis Smith to ref tonight's game, last time I think was at Millwall, I'd take that again he's reffed them 4times not sure if that's this season or in total , last time I saw him was the Fulham v Villa cup game recently,a game I thought was harsh on Fulham offside goal etc, not sure if it was a var game, and there was another incident in that game which I can't remember , from Wigan not sure there's any bias there or if he's done them recently during their rough period ,a repeat of that Millwall match will do me!

Surprised this thread didn't pop up after yesterday's game. One of the worst I've seen, should be nowhere near a game at this level. One of those that it basically a walking advert in favour of VAR as they are totally incapable of picking up any important decisions themselves. A pathetic display.

I think there were at least 3 stamps on feet, leg and ankle yesterday. For me that doesn't happen accidentally and felt like a game plan to leave a mark. Absolutely shit ref in general let it happen. It's like when players start "losing their footing" and take the player out as they fall, all dark arts.

The lino when Haji ran from behind the player to get to the ball only to be flagged offside was ridiculous.
The ref did nothing to prevent the time wasting antics. Was consistent in his inconsistency-giving fouls to Soton and letting Soton players foul our players in the same way but not blowing.
Did really feel like all officials were against us.

Ref allowing the blatant time wasting and missing dangerous fouls 10ft away from him.
Shocking display all round that allowed them to use the referee as a 12th man. Every time we looked to get momentum, down they went clutching at their injuries or pulled muscles, only to be miraculously recovered the second the ref appeared.
