John Busby

I can't remember anything controversial with him, either good or bad so I take that as a good thing.

The games this season were us willing 3-0 at home v Bklackburn and losing 2-0 away at WBA.

Our overall record not great with him (P17, W5, D4, L8), but he has overseen the last game v Boro in 22/23 when we drew 1-1 with them directly before the play-offs and the 5-4 win up at Sunderland.

On Tuesday we have a Premiership ref, not sure which one.

Is it a new thing that we have threads on referees every week? And what does such a thread offer?

Was the Barnsley game the one where Vik missed the pen. Did Brad save it?

Perhaps an insight into what we can expect eg if they issue lots of reds or penalties. Tbf I've not seen one for other games but as these are quite crucial I thought others may be interested as I was.

I'm really sorry that you had to open the thread, read and post. Completely my fault, please accept my heartfelt apology.

Hadn't noticed that, I think it probably was. Certainly an early season game and away.

No issue my end. Was just asking the question.

Had no idea you were so passionate about ref statistics. Completely my fault, my apologies.

We need strong refs in all the games now.
We have suffered some bad game changing decisions recently.
I have never subscribed to the idea that decisions even out over the season.

I remember Gyok being crucified on here after that miss. Would love to see some of the reaction back now, knowing what he went on to become

At least we haven’t got Oliver Langford, seems to have been officiating a lot of the bigger matches recently with a fair share of controversy.

How many times did he stop play when the Sunderland players went to ground clutching their heads. What a tactic to break up play.

There was even a time when their defender was holding his ankle and he stopped play saying it was a head knock

Every time we went in their box.

One player went down holding his head because he he had cramp in his leg. Stopped the game, let the keeper take about 2 minutes to then kick it.

Both Wilson and Collins have been booked for time wasting when they were taking a fraction of the time he was last night (and Trafford for Burnley).

Agrees with my recollection, the problem I thought was that the lino was a bit behind play but he isn't in the picture.
