is Gary McSheffery a ready made replacement for king....end of last season he was coming good playing behind front two..maybe if we pushed him up front might see a return to his goal scoring ways (especially if we get a lot of penalties) also i hope jukes having a lot of practice on how not to hit the woodwork...McSheffery and juke upfront with bell just behind sounds quite good to me!

I think to put it simply, no he isn't. The creative side of McSheffrey would effectively be lost by moving him out of midfield. He needs to stay in the same role he's in, as it's where he has played well and helped the Sky Blues. I'm almost sure however that there will be a couple of options on the good ol' free agents list. I will take a look later.

Not to me!

Stop with all these "replacement" he is the one player in our team that was of premiership quality, who ever replaces him is 90% certain not to be

Sorry I am a bit depressed about this whole situation

Personally, i'd want McSheffrey to stick at the top of the diamond. He can create things and will score goals in that position anyway, he proved that just before getting injured.
We need to sign Kevin Phillips and one other striker. Eastwood, Platt and O'Donovan are not players that we should be looking to for goals.
