RB Leipzig: How did Red Bull build a Champions League side from scratch?

First, let me say, NO truth / knowledge of this - idle consideration on a rainy day after reading the BBC report.
It is entirely fictional....but, given the current situation, who would be willing to have red bull takeover the club?

Positives - probably build a new ground (called the red bull arena), in Coventry. Money pumped in, so likely to be settled in championship or even perhaps a lower end premier team - all within ten years.
Negatives - renamed RB Coventry, kit change in colour, links to other foreign clubs (with us as a possible feeder in first few years)?

I personally can't decide....if we go back to Ricoh in championship next year, I can only see financial struggles in the future, without a real home.
If we are still in league one / st Andrews in the next few seasons, any recent momentum will be lost and the large gap between us and upper championship will just get wider.
Alternatively, other owners/new stadium in Coventry...all unlikely.

Looking at previous takeovers, they wouldn't agree to this. All about building a brand.

If it meant saving our club which I think at the moment is in the balance I’d snap their hands off and play in any colour they wanted.

I would be happy to change everything if they got involved, it seems most people like the white and black kit so kit changes shouldn’t be a problem, the only problem would be the site name rbtalk doesn’t quite have the same ring

With a very big caveat that this obviously won't happen. I am usually a traditionalist in this kind of thing and tend to hate it, and imagine this will be a very unpopular opinion. That being said, the future is very bleak (off field) and if we are to continue to exist at a level we are happy with, something has to give for this, what feels like, never-ending saga to come to a conclusion. Given the way modern football is going, it's sadly an inevitably that things will go this way. I would be at pain to say I'd probably take being called RB Coventry City, or even RB Coventry, if we remained in colours and badge (talking like the dark blue/blue shirt of the late 90s), for us to own a ground in Coventry, and become financially sound. It's far from ideal and completely understand why the majority will be against it, but football will change in the next two decades, the bubble will burst, and a lot of clubs will be in danger. Some will probably rather die an honourable death, but I would sell a bit of our soul to keep at least some of it alive.

I think that 'diet' Red Bull uses light blue on the tin, so we wouldn't have to change the club's colours.

It's incredible that as shit as our owners are people keep finding alternatives that are worse.

TBH it really doesn’t share that much resemblance with the club I grew up supporting ATM.
Though I get what you mean ‘and no I wouldn’t want RB and all that they bring at CCFC

To be fair I wouldn't give a fuck and would even change my own name to 'I love red bull very much'.
I'm off to renew my passport.

    Even Tampax FC would do.

Who's got time to piss about whinging about a shirt colour. All aboard the european tour express.

Couldn’t we just do what we do with pubs like the Campbell and keep using the old name regardless? We could get @kapowaz to make alternate sky blue kits to buy and wear to matches and everything.

Haven't most of the prem clubs and a lot of championship clubs lost their identity though, foreign owned, foreign managers, foreign players with no Englishman in starting 11s, stadiums renamed by foreign company sponsors so no it would not bother me.
