I thought he showed determination and 'grit'. Something which was missing from some players yersterday. He's obviously got a lot to learn, but he didn't look out of place coming on as a sub. later in the game.

The effect of our stop-start season was obvious.
From the start Hull looked like a cohesive unit who've already got into the rhythm of the season, playing their 6th game in 4 weeks. Yesterday was their third league game since we last played.
For long periods we looked like 11 blokes who'd met in the dressing room.
