Marosi 6 Doesn’t look fully fit/confident to me yet

DaCosta 7 Shoppers interested in Fankaty Dabo may also like Julien DaCosta
Rose 6
Ostigard 7 Fair play to him for containing Deeney for the most part
Hyam 6 Head the ball downwards you goon
McCallum 6 I would have dropped him a few games ago were he not our only LWB

James 7 MOTM A real class act, crucial to have that kind of intelligence in the absence of any other senior players in the side
Hamer 6 Feels harsh given his usual bursts of quality but he really should have scored
Allen 5 We needed much more attacking impetus from him and we didn’t get it

O’Hare 7 The usual. Occasionally ran not only forward, but also into space, will be interesting to see if our other players adopt this fun, new tactic
Biamou 6 Feels generous as his movement is shocking and he sometimes kills momentum going forward. But he’s still playing beyond his abilities and still nearly scored. Oh well.

Pask 6 Didn’t shit the bed defensively, I appreciate that. Wish he offered more going forward.

Marosi - 7 - some wayward kicks but that one important save in the second half. Cheers mate.

Rose - 7 - started a bit shaky but grew into the game. Love how he runs the ball out of defence. Hate it when he hoofs it. Keep it on the deck Rosey.

Ostigard - 8 - Coped really well with the physical side of Watford (Deeney). Deeney went in for afters on him at one point in the first half, which isn't on really. His 40 yard headers are amazing.

Hyam - 7 - More assured today, but probably should have scored. Is he just too nice to score goals?

McCallum - 7 - Dodgy passing in the first 15, but got better as the game went on and they were kept quiet on that side.

Dacosta - 7.5 - Looks great on the ball. Felt he could have done better with some of his crosses, but he looks the real deal and we didn't utilise him enough. Did he go off because he was tired or injured?

James - 9 - MOTM for me. Uses the ball well, looks comfortable under pressure and put in a captains performance. Clearly can't run as much / doesn't have the energy of other midfielders, but doesn't have to.

Hamer - 8 - Incredible first 45 mins, particularly defensively. I couldn't believe the amount of running he was doing. That being said I think that's why after 70 mins he lost the plot. His on target efforts need to be put either side of the goalkeeper.

Allen - 7 - Buzzed around. Looks a yard quicker now. Involved in a lot and closing down right at the end. Struggled last ten mins but understandable really.

O Hare - 8 - Had a really good game and if he himself and others around him could finish, he'd have had a goal and an assist.

Biamou - 6.5 - He's trying but this level is a big ask for him. Often chooses to make the wrong runs or wrong decisions. His physical presence / physical side of the game is brill. The header was closer than I originally thought.

Pask - 6 - Caught out of position a few times, but some good tackles and interceptions. We looked more vunerable on that side after the change I thought, but that could have been due to Watford's changes.

Subs - No rating, not on long enough.

Ratings may seem high for a 0-0, but we played far better football than that expensively assembled Watford team. Not even sure Watford had a midfield in the first half.

Marosi 6 Not much to do in fairness.

McCallum 6 Ok but nothing too good or bad.

Rose 7 Better showing than against Forest-no own goal for a start!

Dacosta 7 Started off where he left last time-good going forward and sound defensively aswell-shame he went off.

Hyam 7 Would have been 8 but for the missed easy chances.

Ostigard 8 Had a great tussle with Deeney and easily came out on top.

Allen 6 Silly mistake giving the ball away when Deeney hit the bar but more than made up for it tracking back and working. Busted a guy on a couple of occasions to get into the box but wasn’t spotted where a side pass to him maybe would have been the better option.

James 8 Good with the ball and without the ball-has the nouse between the ears, a great acquisition.

O’Hare 8 Man of the match. Made things happen and some of the link up pay was superb and as usual getting back to help his teammates out. Surprised but understandable he was subbed but had run himself into the ground.

Hamer 7 His usual mix-but maybe needs to stop going for the Hollywood shot. In fairness probably thinks no one else is going to take a pop.

Biamou 6 Think we all know he hasn’t got what is required at this level and again it was on display again. As a striker he has to take one of the chances.

Subs-

Pask 6 Done ok defensively-no disasters today.

Shipley N/a

Victor N/a

Robins 7 Again he got the performance but chances missed as per usual. Not sure about Hamer and O’Hare subs but a good point which we all would have taken.

Marosi 7 (wasn't really troubled but did most things as expected)
Dacosta 7 (super cross for Biamou header. Not used enough)
McCallum 7 (best game for a while against a pedigree player. Didn't get forward much)
Rose 7 (great to see him lasting 90 minutes. Won a lot of headers. Understandably a little rusty at times)
Ostigard 9 (motm. immense. Kept Deeney in his pocket apart from late Deeney header. Just shows the strength of the guy)
Hyam 7 (defended well. Should have done better with two chances)
James 8 (such a calm influence. Covered a lot of ground including some great defensive cover)
Hamer 8 (great positioning for the chances but shame he couldn't finish better. Always lively and looking to switch play or unlock something)
Allen 6 (worked hard off the ball but didn't really happen for him. A couple of weak passes could have ended with a chance)
O'Hare 8 (occasionally wrong decision making but was a constant pest and did create)
Biamou 7 (a mixed bag. Some great touches and some poor ones. Some good running off the ball but should have got header and early chance on target)

Pask 8 (didn't put a foot wrong after coming on. Don't think anything got past him)
Gyokeres na (surprised he wasn't brought on for Biamou after 60-70)
Shipley na

Very, very good performance.

If we can perform that like a bit more regularly we will pick up points.

Hard to really criticise any players today, they gave it all. Just a shame we couldn't take our chances because we were good for 3 points today.

Bar the one shocking pass that nearly gifted Watford the 3 points, good to see Allen have a decent game.

Not stand out by any means but did a lot of grunt work allowing Hamer, James and O'Hare the chance to roam. A lot of what he did goes unnoticed which is a shame.

About right those numbers, James brilliant used his expierence covering the defensive and midfield area osti at the back a man mountain and becoming an important cog for Robins. Max today has led the line well today and should have scored the header.

If we had another midfielder as good as Hamer and O'Hare playing instead of Allen/Shipley/Whoever we'd be a mid-table team. And the less said about Max and Hyam's finishing the better.

Allen's movement is good, he opens the game up well especially when we win possession, always offers an option

Surprised at all the 6s for McCallum, I thought he was much better today than for a long time. Ostigard never more literally head and shoulders above all, terrific job on Deeny who would be a nightmare to mark.

Got to say Marosis kicking was abysmal, kicking it time after time into touch, the only real negative well apart from not scoring today, good all round performances from the team, Osti was a giant at the back and James was superb in midfield a good point but feel like we deserved all 3. Disappointed to see Da Costa go off lets hope hes not a sick note

Marosi 6 - fine but not too much to do
Dacosta 7 - looking good. Really reassuring to have him and hope he is OK
McCallum 7 - don't understand why some don't rate him. Sarr is a really dangerous player and was kept quiet
Rose 7 - impressive after being out for so long
Ostigard 7.5 - fantastic. Clearly relished the battle with Deeney
Hyam 7 - better than recently
Hamer 7 - good but quiet for him
James 8 - motm
Allen 5 - sorry I just didn't see it. So often played the wrong pass and nearly gave the game away.
O'Hare 7.5 - great and looked more composed when he had chances. The goals will come and a great contribution again.
Biamou 6 - some good play but snatched at his chances. Not easy playing alone up front.

Pask 6
Shipley 6
Gyokeres 5 - should have played Shipley in

Allen hasn’t played as we know robins don’t keep players sharp which is probably what you seen today with the odd misplaced pass

6.5 Biamou - As our only-goal-every-other-game striker (over the past two games) he missed the chance to become our first goal-a-game striker since Godden got injured, So a bit disappointing. Still, he gives us some great goals and all the sensible posters on here admire the improvement he's made every time we've been promoted. He may be a bit sub-standard for the Championship but last season the usual suspects kept saying that he was never good enough for League Two, let alone League One. Yet now they admit he's good enough for League One. Can't wait to hear what they'll say, in a few years time, when he gets a short run of games for us in the Premier League and he scores a couple of goals to boot!

Marosi - 7 Excellent save late on, was brave when someone left a back headee short. His kicking to McCallum was off on occasion. Be interesting if Wilson available next game. Marosi my number one but not much in it
Dacosta - 7 His cross for Biamou pretty much perfect and he showed he can defend. Playing with a headache and migraine is crazy so fair play. We may not miss dabo as much as we feared
McCallum - 7 his passing is occasionally poor but his heading and ability to make himself available for the ball is really good
Rose / hyam - 7 they were good for different reasons. Rose on the ball and hyam defensively. Be unfair but understandable to mark Hyam down for missed chances
Ostigard - 8.5 complete performance. We need some training in the dark arts and making a meal of contact and digs and kicks.
James - 8 everywhere and calmness and passing almost without mistake, kelly on speed. One moment second half he got back to hold up a break. Didn’t tackle and didn’t commit just slowed him down - brilliant
Hamer - 7 such movement awareness and breadth of passing. He makes mistakes and he could easily have scored 3 with some compsure
Allen - 7 really impressed made one massive error late on but off the ball he’s super
Ohare - 8 fabulous game.
Biamou - 6.5 His leading of the line, hold up play and commitment was excellent. His finishing and movement in the box and in counter attacks was not

Subs

Pask 6 some good headers and tackles
Shipley - 6 most effective sub performance for me. Instead of passing to max late on he should have ran at centre back And had a shot
Gyokeres - 5.5 ball greedy and also looked rusty. Hard when coming on

Pretty much an all round performance across the 90 just missing goals
