Burge - 7 - Comes out with the only credit really. Stopped it from being 6
Grimmer - 4 - Anonymous really
Hyam - 4 - Was he playing?
Willis - 4 - People will blame the injury, probably cost us with the first goal
Brown - 5 - Extra point because he got forward a bit more and tried.
Doyle - 3 - Bit of a joke, could have cost us earlier on. Constantly turned, walked past for their goal
Bayliss - 4 - People can still go on about his runs all they want. Massive Anti Climax.
Thomas - 6 - First half absolutely hammered their full back every chance he got. Shame he had our strikers to look up to pass to
Hiwula - 3 - First touch has gone to shit
JCH - 4 - Only a 4 because he perked up on the left towards the end.
Chaplin - 3 - Should have scored, missed penalty. When we are losing it's starting to take the piss how much he doesn't get into the box.

Andreu - 3 - Pointless really
Davies - 5 - At least offered a threat going forward
Baka - Not much point really

Robins - 2 - Another manager nullifies us after half time and wins the game. Was it Burton in disguise? Subs baffling.

I'll kick them off then.

Burge 7.5 Rare one for me as a Burge critic but MOTM tonight for me. Could of been a LOT worse than 3 if not for some very smart saves.

Grimmer. 6. Not bad, not good. Over hit most crosses.

Hyam 5.5

Willis 6

Davis. 5.5 never really got into the game.

Doyle. 5. Sloppy with passes, taking silly, pointless short corners and quick free kicks to under pressure players. Their best chance 1st half (almost own goal) came from him losing the ball AGAIN.

BAYLISS 5.5 NOT his best of games tonight. Game just passed him by.

Hiwula. 5. Had been playing well but has had a few stinkers in a row now. Should of scored but put the ball straight at the keeper.

Thomas. 6.5. Chased well, never gave up on anything and created chances by persistence and hard work. Would be a massive loss if he left in Jan.

JCH. 5.5 Game just passed him by.

Chaplin. 5. Maybe a 6 but marked down for that miss. Really frustrated by Chaplin, you can see there's a player in there, but he can't. He clearly has 0 confidence. Needs to start scoring or we need to look elsewhere instead of spending £500k on him.

Andrue. 5. Meh.

Baka N/A

Robins, 4. Had a stinker. Why he bought Andrue on and changed to 4231 I will never know. Writhing 2 minutes of the change we were 3 down. Game over. Should of been out of sight at half time, don't know what he said at half time but it clearly never worked.

I don't really know how to do ratings for this. Our possession stats must be near on 65-70%. Fleetwood did fuck all, all game apart from knock it long and it worked 3 times (which is disgracful on our part). I said in the match thread, they'll be rubbing their eyes in shock they won that game 3-0.

Burge - 7 - decent but their first goal was pretyt much down the middle
Grimmer - 6 - fine
Hyam - 8 first half/5 second
Willis - 4 Injured or not, awful. Slow, gave the bal awya time and time again and was at fault for the 5 min spell of pressure before we buckled, and the actual buckling itself
Brown - 7 Solid and now dependable
Thomas - 8 first half / n-a second half as I don't think he touched the ball did he?
doyle - 5 - Slow, falls over when making a challenge because he's no longer quick enough or strong enough to react/put a tackle in. Honestly watch every game how many time she's rolling on the floor when trying to tackle
Bayliss 7 first half - 5 second half
Hiwula - 4 Worse first touch than me - enough said
JCH - 4 first 81 mins - 8 the last 9 mins which in itself is pathetic
Chaplin - 4 and a shocking pen. Lack of class, composure. If he'd smashed that first half effort like he smashed the pen we'd have won this game, i 100% believe that

Tony - Waste of time
Davies - played moredirect and penetrating balls than Doyle did all night
Baka - n/a

MR - 7 first half / 1 second half. What does he say at HT?

Burge-7 It could have been embarrassing without him.
Grimmer-4 Anonymous
Hyam-4 Carved open all 2nd half
Willis- Was I watching the same player?
Brown-5 Slightly better than the rest of the defence
Thomas-6 Good first half an hour or so. I feel sorry for the kid looking up to see Chaplin waiting to finish his cross.
Bayliss- 4 When it’s going against us he disappears.
Doyle-3 So far off the pace it’s unreal. Needs to be dropped for Walsall.
Hiwula-3 Such a poor first touch. Can’t finish like the rest.
Chaplin-3 Could’ve been less and what a dreadful penalty. Should’ve put the earlier chance away. He’s not going to be a McNulty, he was the exception not the rule.
JCH-4 Decided to pipe up in the last 10 minutes when it didn’t matter. Another one who goes missing when it’s going against us.

Subs:
Bakayoko-N/A
Andreu-3 Was there really any point?
Davies-4

Robins-3 Completely inept when it’s going against us, no plan B whatsoever. Putting Andreu on at left midfield when we were 1-0 down. What’s the point?

We don't get enough people in the box because our back 5 start so deep. Bayliss needs to be receiving the ball between halfway and top of the centre circle in their half but most of the time he's collecting it 10 yards outside our own box where our actual defensive midfielder should be. Then Chaplin is drawn into (or instructed to be) where Bayliss should be and JCH is totally isolated (and makes the most awful runs when we counter). Too much pressure on our strikers the way we set up now to take the 1 or 2 chances that will come our way in a game, just like the first half of last season. We need to play more actual football instead of the direct 60 yard running of Bayliss and Thomas. Their skill on the ball is important but it needs to be targetted over short distance and where it will really hurt the opposition. Bayliss is blowing out his arse by the time he gets to the edge of their box and it all stems from how deep Doyle plays.

Hiwula, Doyle, Brown, Chaplin and JCH all less than 5 for me.

Thomas and Bayliss have notable mentions for some tidy play in the first half.

It would be easy to make big changes for the next game but at least 2 of them should be dropped.

Surprised Brown is being marked so well. Yes he got forward a bit but he got caught out of position frequently. Don't know where he was for their first goal but it came from his side, and if I remember right their 2nd goal came from an extremely casual pass from him to lose us possession, from when they broke to score.

Burge 6 couple of decent saves but thought he may have done better with the first goal?
Grimmer 5 Not much good or bad
Willis 5 Went off before it became too embarrassing I suppose.
Hyam 4 One of his Yeovil performances
Brown 5 At least tried to get forward and make things happen
Doyle 5 Not the worst of the midfield
Bayliss 4 Flattered to deceive yet again
Thomas 6 Had a reasonable first half but then disappeared. Man off the match for us but that wouldn’t be hard tonight.
Hiwula 3 Think I seen him a couple of times in the first 10 minutes.
Chaplin 4 Had a chance that he should have put away and then the penalty just summed up his night.
JCH 4 Decided to come to the party 10 minutes from the end.

Davies 5 pinged a few balls forward.
Andreu 2 Gets that for touching the ball.
Baka 4 Couldn’t really do much in the time he was given.

Robins 3 Outdone by Barton at half time and strange change to being on Andreu. What the hell was that all about?
Roll on Walsall.....

Hiwulas performance is the worst Ive seen from anyone this season. Seems I'm in the minority but I thought JCH actually did well first half and finished the game e well. I feel for Bayliss as well. He wants to be in the final third impacting the game but Robins has him holding hands with Doyle in front of the back four.

Burge 7 - his good saves stopped us losing by at least a couple more goals. Almost an 8 but hard to give a goalkeeper that score when we lose 3-nil.
Grimmer - 4 never stopped trying but not very effective in either defence or attack. Minimal impact on the game.
Brown - 5 got to the byline numerous times so more effective than Grimmer. But the end product wasn’t there so again minimal real impact on the game.
Hyam - 6 I thought he was the best of the defenders tonight.
Willis - 4 below his usual standard. Needlessly gave the ball away numerous times; one of which led to the first goal.
Davis - 5 strong when he game on and nearly scored with header. Good to see him back fit.
Doyle - 5 never stopped trying but made mistakes and doesn’t seem to be driving or influencing the game around him in the same way. If he doesn’t do that, it feels like his contribution overall takes a big hit.
Baylis - 6 frustrating performance. You start to get out of your seat when he turns and runs but the final pass or shot just isn’t there. He gives the ball away as often as he makes a promising pass. You end up exasperated but he’s a young player and those around him not playing well isn’t helping him.
Hiwula - started well in first 5 minutes then seemed to lose his touch completely. Not a wide player and doesn’t seem to be able to make the best of it the way some players do.
Thomas - 8 excellent in the first half when he was beating their full back almost every time. The cross to Chaplin deserved a goal and his work ethic is fantastic. Always back helping defend and trying to win the ball back.
JCH - 5. Flashes of what he can do at the end of the game, but why only then? It mostly just seemed to pass him by.
Chaplin - 3 The poor moments defined his night - the free kick, the miss from Thomas's cross and the awful penalty. However hard you run and link play, fluff those game changing moments so badly as a striker and you’ve had a stinker. Keeping the faith but it needs to turn around soon.

Andrue and Bakayako - neither really did enough to warrant a score.

Burge 7
Grimmer 6
Hyam 4 worst he’s played all season
Willis 5
Brown 5
Thomas 7 great first half but hardly had kick 2nd
Doyle 6 really starting to annoy me that everything we do is via him and keeps dropping in back 4 position to get on the ball which leaves the midfield vacant for second balls
Bayliss 6 ok first half very poor second
Hiwula 4
Chaplin 5 got to be putting chances like the one first half away.
JCH 6 awol until moved to left of a 3 last 15 mins then was best he’d played

Burge 7
Brown 6 - goals down his side but got forward well
Grimmer 5 - lacking confidence
Willis 5 - his dreadful pass gave them possession for one of the goals
Hyam 5 - poor second half, distribution slow l ponderous
Doyle 5 - needs a rest
Bayliss 5 - too often making the wrong decision
Thomas 7 - our best player
Hiwula 5 - touch terrible, again doesn't look like he's got any confidence
Chaplin 6 - nowhere near as bad as being said here, he's doing that link role quite well, that cretin JCH was dropping into his space though
JCH 4 - won virtually nothing, not offering us anything

Subs
Andreu 5 - not the sort of game I could see him changing
Davies 6

Left before anybody else came on.

I'd get Kelly into the side for Doyle and Bakayoko up front for JCH next game.

He is probably better as a bit of a battering ram when we want to mix it up and try bully the opposition as he isn’t well suited for link up and balls into his feet

Just got back and some of you way too generous with scores! Not many cone out of that with credit.

Doyle ran around chasing shadows and didn't even tackle. Was too slow on the ball and usual set piece rubbish from him.

Hiwula I thought had turned a corner a few weeks back with those couple of goal's he hasn't .

Brown is too slow in possession and has no pace. Woefully out of position having given the ball away for the second and the first was down his side too. Not good enough.

Chaplin I'm getting more concerned about. Not just the penalty but wayward passes, looks a yard short of pace, no understanding or link up with JCH, terrible free kick and missed a one on one (decent save but should've scored).

Honestly if any of those 4 above scored above a 2 they're lucky!

Add to that Grimmers distribution wasn't great, Willis and Hyam got bullied too easily, Bayliss drifts in and out of the game but did need a partner in the middle.

Of the sub Davies pinged a few decent passes, Andreu barely got involved and Baka on a hiding to nothing shoved on for the last few with no service but possibly should've done better with one right at the end.

Positives - Jono put himself about a bit, Burge a couuplof top drawer saves and Luke Thomas was the pick of the bunch - pity he's not ours!

Fans were decent, Robins was shit, Barton's a knob with a tackle right in front of him and the ref bottled sending off Husband in the first half which might have changed things but we didn't deserve anything.

People moan at players like Shipley but when you see players not working back and doubling up down the flank covering, you have to respect what he does for the team. I'd bring him back in, Sterling, try something anything different in the middle, combination of 2 from Kelly, Ogogo and Westbrooke and god knows what up top but think Baka worth a chance.

Not come away from a game feeling that low for ages and on a day when our joke owners decide to fek us up too!

said it before and say it again opposition Managers know Robins will not change anything so they know full well that the changes they make will work!

Robins needs to either stay out of the dressing room at half time or start to change the team to effect the opposition weaknesses and look for a win rather than containment all the time.

i will repeat this comment after a lot of our games this season

Jonson Clarke Harris isn’t good enough unfortunately, he’s had a fair crack at it last season and this season.

He does some good stuff occasionally but generally looks flat footed and reactive rather than proactive and little awareness of what’s around him.
You can tell if JCH is going to have a good game within the first 5 minutes. He either comes out storming, battling with everyone and winning the ball or just jogs around. He then goes on to either have a great game or be completely anonymous, there is no in between with him. At least Biamou, for all his limitations, gave his all every game. there is a reason McNulty said he loved playing with Biamou but not a word about JCH.

Really enjoyable first half which we shaded. Poor second half, though the scoreline flattered a workmanlike Fleetwood side. They took their chances. My ratings probably seem high but we shouldn't forget the first half. Still gutted by the game though which left a very sour taste.

Burge 7 - some top-drawer saves in the first half.

Grimmer 6 - always available but that old final ball again innit
Willis 6 - inaccurate passing
Hyam 6.5 - saw quite a lot of him, brought the ball foward okay a few times, made some good blocks and stops
Brown 6 - always seems to be on the brink of losing the ball and in tricky positions. Skilful and gets forward fairly well though

Thomas 7 - they couldn't deal with him - if only he could score we'd have been three up. 8 or 9 first half then he stopped playing.
Bayliss 6.5 - repeated surging Gerrard-like runs, repeatedly into banks of opponents. Frustrating. Clears up a lot of situations in midfield all the same.
Doyle 6 - looks all right to me, though whether we actually need a quarterback is an open question. His dead balls are generally good (when not bloody short corners)
Hiwula 4,5 - the odd dart but will never beat his man and should have scored. Disappeared in the second half.

Chaplin 5 - still looks neat and alert to me but he's much too deep for whatever reason. Should have scored from open play and the penno.
Clarke-Harris 5,5 - unlike Chaplin, just doesn't look good enough for this level. Does bits here and there when it suits him but how often does he really make the difference? A good shot near the end and won the penalty I suppose.

Just watching the game again. Up to half time there was absolutely no suggestion we were going to lose . Much the better team. Someone who knows more about football than me might like to explain what happened in the second half. I think we were bossed out of it by a much more experienced team.
Some of the comments on here are o.t.t but if Id driven up to Fleetwood on a miserable Tuesday in November I’d probably feel the same.

And let's not forget that whilst we could and should have scored, even in that first half Burge made 3 excellent stops (1 superb low down to his right at point blank).

Burge - 7. Played well, maybe could've done better for the 2nd.
Grimmer - 4. Defensively looked okay at times but massively out of position for no.3. Passing was poor.
Hyam - 5. Struggled against Evans who held him off at ease to control too many high balls.
Willis - 5. Not very involved.
Brown - 5. Tried to get forward but looks nervous as he advanced up the pitch and couple of times gave up to east against the winger.
Doyle - 3. Not too sure why second half he felt the need to drop into the back 2 to collect the ball. Left Bayliss isolated 2nd half and we didn't win a second ball in the second half after appearing to have some control of the game 1st half. Passing isn't good enough to efefct the game from there.
Bayliss - 6. Made some promising advances first half but struggled to impact the game 2nd half.
Thomas - 7. Brilliant first half with his direct running and created the best chance for Chaplin. Fleetwood figured out how to cut off his supply second half or at least ensure he was never 1v1 with the full back again and with that we had nothing to offer.
Hiwula - 5. Had some great chances to run at their back line 1st half and gave the ball away. Didn't look comfortable moving with the ball at his feet. Failed to track back a few times and once Brown overlapped him and shouted for him to cover the LB position while he was ahead of him. Hiwula ignored him and Brown had to sprint past him back into position.
Chaplin - 4. Was not a good game for him and struggled against the big CB. Think he needs to watch how Madden played the slightly deeper role.
JCH - 7. Didn't stop running and his effort was 1st class when we were losing.
