No rail solution for years! Just crazy

Hopeful of a better and more effective bus service from national express. Proposals being made asap

One reason for the reduction in blues fans is lack of public transport away from the ground

Lots of people trying to make things better. The rail situation is hugely frustrating

It's ridiculous.

Train would be the obvious choice for at least 50% of BCFC supporters to get to the CBSS, green travel (remember part of the original justification for building the stadium out in the sticks?) etc. etc.

But the station doesn't open on match days....

Needs to be more provisions made for teams with large numbers coming by train . Leads to away fans milling around after the game which probably contributes to the disorder we are seeing or are going to see

The station is tiny - even if trains were laid on there would only be two carriages and it would be total carnage

I could travel up by train sometimes but never do because it's such a ball ache and that's me knowing my way round. I bet away fans hate it.

Do the club have any idea what the breakdown is for away fans coming by car, coach, train? If x number of fans want to come ny train and the station at the stadium can't be used then surely you need to ensure there are shuttle buses that can carry the same number of people from the main station to the stadium?

That would also help the crowd control as at the moment anyone wanting to get to the train station will wander off to find a bus or taxi and then you get supporters mixing which is supposed to be what they're trying to avoid.

I've done park and ride, train and ride etc at other clubs and never had an issue so don't see why it wouldn't be possible for us to do it.

The Sky Blue Tavern could sort it i'm sure. £38 quid one way and you get a free pint of locally (the toilets) brewed beer and game of darts.

They don’t have home details although all supporters group were given an action to ask. I think I asked one of mark or Nick to do a poll after the forum but don’t remember seeing it.

No brainer for me. Maybe bus companies don’t want to make a quick profit

the original green stadium idea was /is completely flawed - when you see the number of cars parked on the streets , in the industrial estates , Tescoes

With Birmingham they could actually go either way, to Coventry to change or directly back to Birmingham via Nuneaton. If only successive governments hadn't allowed all capacity in the rail system to be sucked out by various spivs eh?

The shuttle bus is something that needs to be communicated to the club now.

Criminal that the in 2021 the only real way of getting to a football stadium is by car. This is a club that is talking about building an environmentally friendly stadium at Warwick Uni.

Charge a fiver for a return trip that drops off at Cov station. It's common sense.

Ah sorry could you then? Looks like Andy Streets office have got somewhere with National express but 5000 people on buses is a lot of them.

Nothing to do with the club really other than to pressure the bus companies. The Mayor should be all over it

what I mean is we don’t own a set of coaches or buses and don’t have the resource to organise. It’s why the supporters groups were asked to if people would use it

It’s an absolute joke to be honest. Stranded away fans. Carnage getting there and back for us even knowing it’s a mission. Needs sorting.
As above, pop a shuttle bus on if the station can’t be used. Total embarrassment really.

Over 3 miles from the only train station that’s operating. Ridiculous. Genuinely easier for me to get to St Andrews when I lived in eastern green if I was having a few beers.

It’s probably not nice ferrying drunk away fans around but you could charge £3 return and make money every game it’s bizarre really

Other clubs do it. Other events do it.

Local pubs manage it. So options are there but for away fans, it’s fend for yourself. No wonder it kicks off.

The club could organise it like they do away coaches.

There is an aerial photo of the Ricoh on the first ever game there and there's about 15 double deckers lined up outside the casino.

Saturday spoke to two pairs of Bristol supporters making their way back to the station asking how to get there as i was talking to the first ones taxi come along 1 asked how much to the station driver told him £20 they took it.The 2nd pair walked with me to Tesco bus station and got the Rail replacsment bus back to the station for free.I do think there is a profit to be made by some bus or coach company running specials on matchdays now we are in Championship and get increased away supporters coming.By the way that taxi drivers robbed them the fare shoud hve been £11 30p before anyone pipes up their only Bristol fans .These are people who have put money in our club and city and might not come back again because of his actions

£20 quid for a taxi. They can fuck off. Not got one for about 6 years. Uber can be hit or miss but taxi drivers are piss takers.

It would! how sad for the tax payer that those who designed such provisions had such poor foresight.

That's why out of town stadiums are not liked, it's a joke that they implemented the massive area of parking restrictions without a proper transport infrastructure in place!

MK Dons used to do return buses to the station for £2 each so easy on the train from Rugby and onto the bus outside the station entrance, after the game it was pick-up over by Halfords? and back on the train. If they charged £5 return for match days, why cant it be done here? There used to be loads of "Sky Blue special" double deckers at the Ricoh in the past

It’s a joke. I live walking distance from Bedduth station and drive to games.

I fail to believe there isn’t a business model for someone to make some cash and sort this out. The vast majority are going back to town and even those being picked up would likely be quicker going from town than fighting the traffic at Arena Park which is the only place you can get a car to after the game.

Thats what the club said yeah but it’s bollocks. There’s trains that run on Saturdays we’re not at home that don’t run on match days. It’s not lack of trains at all it’s a conscious decision not to run one.
